Whoopsie
Well next time I decide to take my 13yo to an R rated movie, I will ask friends that have gone first what it's about. Not having read the book I will say The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was a good movie but disturbing and not for my dd.

If it makes you feel any better, when I was probably 14, my brother brought home "American Pie" for all of use to watch (my mom, my dad, and me). I was pretty horrified.
