I'm trying to get stuff done while the nanny is here (obviously failing, since I'm here typing this post), and am planning on doing not much of anything this afternoon.
QOTD: For the first time in many years, I will be back in the States for more than just a couple of weeks. I've mentioned before that DH has 7 months paternity leave and we'll be going to the States for 5 months of that. Plus we want to start TTC#2 this spring, so this *could* be a really big year.

Not much going on here. H and SS went overnight fishing, so Delta and I are having a girls night in. She had wet dog food (a treat) and I had pancakes (also a treat) for dinner. We are watching lame TV shows and ice cream may be oin the menu for a bit later.
However I am trying not to laugh to hard at her. At 50 kgs, when she gets the hiccups the whole sofa shakes.
ETA: This is only the 2nd time I've spent the night alone in this house and this is the first time with Delta around. I am much happier with Delta around ...
QOTD: Only big plans are to lose the weight I've gained from quitting smoking and hopefully getting H down to Tasmania in the middle of winter to se how he handles the "cold" down there.Hello!
I have been waiting for a package the last few days and it is still not here. I am stuck in the house and I would leave but they are 3 Kings gifts for my DH.
QOTD: Things are really up in the air for me this year. I am waiting to see what is going to happen with my DH and his job before we make big plans.
Morning. Not a lot on today. Work for me. Sent a shopping list to dh so hopefully he and N get most of the things on it this morning. He might as well be useful while he's off this week!! Though he also has laundry to hang out and bottles to recycle...
QOTD: We hope to ttc #2 in late spring / early summer - would love another spring baby... Maybe we'll look into buying a house, though that is something dh would like to do more than me (I just stress about the fact that we would have 2 mortgages as I still own an apartment that we rent out). My parents are going to move in with us in the next month or so for 4-6 weeks while their house is drying out - underfloor got very wet in heavy rains back in October...
Hello! It is so nice to be back on a schedule! I am getting way more done today than I did over the whole of Christmas break
QOTD: Things are up in the air for us this year. We will have a vacation sometime this spring, probably May. We can't decide where to go yet - probably Belgium & Holland to see the flowers, or maybe something more relaxing like a resort in Greece or Italy.
DH came home last night and asked, "so, how soon do you think we could move?" I guess the CFO talked to him about taking another job as soon as it comes open. I'm not sure if that means like 2-3 months or like 6-9, but it looks like we'll be moving somewhere in Asia or Africa sometime this year.
Morning! Today I'm starting my first english class with a little girl. Should be fun.
QOTD: This summer we're going to the US for my sister's wedding. It'll be our first big trip with DD. This October I'm hoping to start working for an english teaching program in Madrid and around the same time we are considering TTC #2 since we'd like to have our kids be close in age. We'll see how the year progresses though. My student loans go into full repayment in March which could set back TTC 2.
Did you apply for the auxiliar program? Do they let you choose the location of the school?
I am in the process of applying. I'm a little worried I'm going to get it in too late. I'm just waiting on a letter of rec from an old professor at the moment. You get to request a specific city, but no you don't technically get to choose. They could assign you anywhere, but you don't have to accept if it's not where you want.
Suerte! I hope you get a place close to your house or at least one in Madrid capital.
