DC Bachelorette party or fun night out suggestions

For a group of 10-15.

What are some restaurant suggestions for groups?

Fun bars to go to?

Brunch?

Is Dupont/Logan Circle a good place to get a hotel and make our home base?

Re: DC Bachelorette party or fun night out suggestions

  • I'm sure others will be able to weigh in more. But we had a blast at Cafe Citron at my bachelorette party and another one I went to.

What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? Dancing? drinking? Club?

Dupont would be a good place to make your home base. The best partying areas in the city are Georgetown, Adams Morgan and around Dupont.

  • I organized a bachelorette party a couple of years ago, and we started off with drinks at POV (the rooftop bar at the W hotel), then went to CoCo Sala for dinner, then Josephine's for more drinks/dancing.  I may be biased as the organizer, but I thought it was a pretty good night.

For my own bachelorette party, we went to the Melting Pot (which I love but wouldn't necessarily recommend for a bachelorette party - too much food!), then to McFadden's and some club in Penn Quarter - I think it was called Ultra?  I hadn't been to McFadden's since right after college, but it was actually a lot of fun for a bachelorette party (there were a couple of other bachelorettes there and they pulled us all up on the bar to dance, gave us free drinks, etc).

As far as hotels, the Hotel Rouge (a Kimpton hotel) is in a good location (near Dupont) and would be fun for a bachelorette party.  Their rooms are pretty funky - lots of leopard print and red leather, if I recall correctly.

um yes....to all of this...sounds like a perfect night.

sadly all the bars/clubs i frequents are closed and/or gone. SIGH.

above sounds pretty good....dinner at Lincoln is another option at is it pretty close to Jospehine's.

There is also the boomerang bus.....we did this for the last bachelorette party i planned five years ago (sigh) and it was really fun too.

we just stayed at the W hotel for NYE and it is so posh in there!

  • Thank you!!! A friend suggested the Boomerang Bus and multiple suggestions for Cafe Citron, so I like when I get suggestions that agree b/c that helps make the decision process easier!

The rooftop bar would be a lot of fun and weather should be decent by the end of March...

A fun hotel would be good too, at this point in time not sure of the amount of people that will stay and wont, so hard to figure out costs etc.

the thing that worked well with boomerang bus was that we could bar hop without cabbing or metroing place and you can bring your own booze on the bus itself. so we drank one or two pricey drinks at the bar and then had our own stuff on the bus....good times. good crowd too plus it got us to go to bars i had never been to before...it ends at the front page i think too which is walking distance to the "herpes triangle" of Rumors, and Sign of the Whale and Ozio that you have good options later on when you are too drunk to care.

Ditto all previous ideas, but wanted to mention that much (or all?) of POV is enclosed in the winter.  I went to a bachelorette there in early Feb last year, and everything was closed in.  Maybe thats just certain parts?   But definitely warm even if cold outside.

  • I've been to a couple of bachelorette parties where we stayed at Hotel Helix - fun decor with a cool bar.

We also did arranged a keg bus for 30 girls and it was so so so much fun. It was way more fun dancing and drinking on the bus than in any clubs.
