Does anyone have an elliptical?

Frank and I having been looking for one for a few months now and just have not found the perfect one. Our main thing is we want to be very sturdy and not wobble. Everyone we have tried wobbles too much. The sales people keep saying its the floor model its going to wobble. We just dont believe it.

Any recommendations for ones we should look at?

  • We have an earlier model of this and it isn't wobbly at all

  • Unfortunately I do not (I'd LOVE to have one but don't have room for it).  Where are you shopping for your elliptical?  When I looked at them before, I noticed the ones at Sears were less wobbly than the ones at Wal-Mart; also, ones at second-hand sporting goods stores are good to test because what you see is what you get.

You can also check Amazon or Overstock reviews.

    Good luck!

  • Thank you Melissa for your recommendation. We have looked at the nordictrack ones and do like them for the most part.

We have looked at Sears and ***'s Sporting goods.

  • No problem! Their site has free shipping right now so if you see one in a store, be sure to check the site. It was a much better deal for us because of the no-tax thing plus it was delivered versus trying to figure out how to get it home from the store.

  • We just bought one for Christmas! I did a ton of research and used Consumer Reports reviews as well. Precor is the best, but they run about $3k which was way over our budget. We ended up buying the Sole E35 from Sears. This was rated the second highest by CR and the best value. It was $1299 with free shipping and we got 5% off for using our Sears card. It is worth it to pay them to assemble it. We had a lot of Sears gift cards that we had been saving up to help with the cost. I love it and have been using it every day. The fan is not very strong, but we don't use a fan so it is fine.
