Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling?
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays?
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant?
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide?
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone?
Re: BWB: Wednesday Edition
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Appointment this Thursday. This is supposed to be the ultrasound - they said that last time though, too, so we shall see. I hope it is because DH is going to take off work. Feeling alright for the most part, just some nausea.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Oh yes, the BFP made the holidays really special. We told both sides the same way: we recently got a new to us camera, a nice little DSLR. We bought it where DH's dad works. So we decided to print out some pictures to show everyone pics from our new camera. We had a bunch of pics of Elliot and on the bottom of the stack was the HPT with the word "Pregnant" showing. Everyone loved it and more importantly everyone was really happy about the baby and happy for us.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? We plan to use family middle names. If its a girl, middle name will be Jean, same as my mom. If its a boy, middle name will be Francis, which has been passed down in DH's family.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? We're still up in the air. We shared our narrow lists with my sister though, so we don't choose the same names (she's due in July).
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? For the most part we have similar tastes, but if its a boy I have a feeling there's a fight on our hands. He loves a certain name that I don't like, and I love a certain name that he doesn't like. Since we're both stubborn there's a recipe for disaster. We're trying to avert now by coming up with different names, so we shall see.
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? We had a growth scan right before Xmas. Madison is weighing in at 3 lbs. 12 oz. we are now every two weeks. We go next on Friday than the 20th.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Nothing to special. Other than this will be our last Christmas as a family of three
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? Madison's middle name is Katherine after my grandmother who passed away
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? Everybody knows this time. With Evan it was a surprise until he was born
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? For girl names yes we do. But boy names we have totally different tastes. So we lucked out with Madison this time. If we were having a boy I have noclue what he be named
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? This may sound crazy but I swear I have a bump. It's small but I swear it's uterus. Second time mamas, did this happen to you? We are pretty sure we have decided on the midwife we are going to use. We decided to go with the more expensive option, but we felt so comfortable with her, and I've seen her action at the last homebirth I attended and she was AMAZING! I'm so excited we get to have our home birth!!! So, as soon as we hire her we will have our first appointment--hoping within the next couple of weeks. I feel like poo, but I keep telling myself that's a good thing because the baby is growing.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? We told my parent's and Jake's parents and they were SOOOOOOOO happy and excited. We gave the grandma's peridot stones (August birthstone) for their grandma necklaces. My mom got it right away but it to my MIL a bit to catch on.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? If we have a boy his middle name will be John, which is a family name. I'm digging into female family names to see if I come upon anything I like.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? I think we're going to keep them a secret this time--I will probably let you gals know, though.
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? I think we do. We like a lot of the same girl names, but aren't agreeing on boy names. :-)
Neena Mae. 1/7/10
"A baby nursing at a mother's breast is an undeniable affirmation of our rootedness in nature." - David Suzuki
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Had my 32 week appt yesterday, everything is measuring on time. Almost got an ultrasound to check baby's position since doc couldn't find her noggin, but she is so clearly head down they decided not to. I'm on every 2 weeks, so next appt is the 16th. Still feeling really good except that sleep has gotten way more difficult and I'm tiring much more easily now.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Nothing super unique, but was glad to spend time with my family. Got to compare bumps with my SIL who is due in March, and cousin who is due in April. Came home and found out that DH's sister is newly pregnant too!
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? We are definitely using family names - there are significant names on both sides of the family
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? Nope we haven't. It's a little nerve wracking since my SIL is due so soon after us, but hopefully we'll go first. Lame, I know, but they aren't sharing either and I will FREAK OUT if we have to decide again.
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? I'm going to go with no we don't have similar tastes. DH puts a TON of thought into the name, and I'm more of the 'it sounds nice/I like it' type person. lol
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Swelling, BP creeping up (although it was perfect at my MFM appt yday), making it this far! At my appt yday, my normal u/s tech was out and they like to use the same one each time. I'm a little bit concerned with the #'s she got because according to her measurements the girls only gained like 4 ounces in 2 weeks, when they should have gained a pound. The MFM said it was "fine" and likely just the difference in techs. I can't wait to have my normal lady back!
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Nope. It was actually pretty miserable because I couldn't do much and was in a lot of pain every time I tried to play on the ground or anything.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? Nope.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? Adelyn Kate and Delaney Paige
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? We tend to agree pretty easily.ETA: It FREAKS ME OUT that I am "technically" 2nd on the list. 38 weeks is 2/20 which is the longest they'll let me go. OMG. I am so not ready.
Our crazy, wonderful life
Yikes!! How am I at the top of the list already!?
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Full-term this week
Had an appointment today & an internal.... some progress has been made and she's definitely dropped so I'm happy to know that my body's taking care of some of the work now.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Nothing in particular this year. I had an awful cold/sinus infection so I kind of just laid low this year.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? Lillian is partially in honor of my great grandmother, Lilla. We both really liked Lilla, but it just seemed to be a bit too much with our last name (that "Lala" sound), so we chose Lillian/Lily instead. If it had been a boy, it would have been Henry James, after both of our dads & grandfathers.
Lillian Delaney
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? Yep
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? Boy names were easy for us, but choosing a girl name was a project and a half this time.... we have SUCH different styles!! I preferred more old-school/classic names while DH was pushing for what I've come to call the "Full House names" (Michelle, Stephanie, Stacy, Ashley.... not that any of them are bad names by any means, but our styles were just such a far cry from one another) Lillian was really the only name that we both loved this time around.
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling?
See above post, I don't feel very pregnant. It's worrying me.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays?
We showed our family the photo from our u/s. that was nice.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant?
Joe is a third, he swears he doesn't want a fourth. We use the first and middle name, but switch them.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide?
I don't want to tell
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone?
I'm not even thinking about names yet. Too early
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Feeling good! I think I actually look preganant now, not just puffy/lumpy/fat. We have our a/s next Wednesday!
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? I got a onesie from my sister for the baby. She's going to be the only aunt and she is sooo excited! Otherwise it was a fairly normal Christmas. Lots of talking about the baby and plans and how much fun next Christmas will be!
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? Our girl name is both of our middle names (with a little spelling modification). Our boy middle name is FIL's name.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? Our girl name is Lauren Jean. Our boy name is Andrew (Drew) Michael. We're finding out the sex at our a/s next week, but our plan is to not tell anyone. We're just going to share our name choices.
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? I think we're pretty close. I tend to go a bit more traditional and DH goes a bit more modern, but we're not too far off.
My Blog
Any changes? Milestones? Appointments? How are you feeling? Getting sick a tad less often, thankfully, but still dealing with all day nausea almost every day. Really tired of that. Regular appointment this Friday, big u/s on Jan 25th.
Any special memories from the holidays significant to being pregnant? For those of you with recent BFPs-did anyone share the news at the holidays? Hmmm, not really. Everyone knew around Thanksgiving that we were expecting, so no one found out for the first time. It was special because we really took our time and cherished it with Natalie, since it's her last Christmas as an only.
Do you plan to use any family names when naming baby? Or name baby after someone else significant? Not entirely. Natalie doesn't have anyone's exact name (most of the women in my family have the "lee" sound somewhere in their name or as their middle name, so she is part of a naming tradition in that sense.) We haven't hammered anything out 100% yet, but of what we have discussed girl-wise, most are not family names. For a boy, we will be using Dh's first name in either the first or middle name position since there are 8 generations with the name.
Have you told your baby name choice/will you tell once you decide? We haven't told anybody anything concrete. I've slid some names past my mom and sister because I truly value their opinions, and thankfully they pretty much like everything I've said. Once we get the names set, we won't share with anyone until after the baby is born (except probably here, for input.)
Do you and DH have similar taste in names? Would baby be named something differently if one of you got to decide alone? I DH has a pretty unique sense of naming. He has suggested some interesting names (nothing hella out there) but I think if I were less traditional our children would have much more unique names. I wouldn't be using DH's name unless he insisted, which he is insisting, so that's that I suppose.
