I was reading a post on TK Wedding Recap page (I lurk over there occasionally to see wedding pictures) about wedding nightmares. Some of them were pretty crazy! There were two pages of stories. It makes me so thankful for my peaceful wedding!
So I thought it might be fun to tell wedding nightmares that we've experienced. Either your own wedding or someone you've been too.
Here's a link to let you see what I mean. http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_wedding-recap-withdrawal_whats-worst-wedding-experience
Mine aren't really nightmares, just awful experiences.
A wedding we went to last year was held in a hall that apparently the a/c was broken or they had the heat turned on. It had to have been over 80 degrees in there and we were all jammed into really close quarters. We waited for over two hours for the bride and groom to get there (the wedding was at supper time and they were serving a full meal) but they only gave us party mix and mints to snack on. We were starving and so hot. Then when they finally got there, they were having a buffet and dismissed you table by table. Since we weren't family or WP, we were one of the last ones to be dismissed. So add another hour on to the two we already waited. It was miserable.
Another one started at 1 (I think, it was early afternoon) and the wedding and reception lasted til after 9:00. This may not seem that bad until you learn that there was no dancing or entertainment. The majority of that time we sat and watched them open their presents. This is so tacky IMO. And we had a 2 1/2 hour drive home. Ugh.

We went to a co-workers wedding a couple of years ago, we aren't close to him and we were last minute invites (the whole office got invites on their desk about 3 weeks before the wedding).
At the reception hall there was a bee problem by our table (I'm extremly afraid of bees), They were everywhere. One flew up the pant leg of someone at our table and another person got stung when he placed his hand on his wifes back. It was awful.
