So far in the kitchen remodel we have had a few minor snafus. I couldn't decide between pulls and ordered two sets, one didn't arrive and when I called they said they couldn't fill the order and credited me. ok fine. I like the other ones fine and it's the style y'all voted on too.
The cabinets came in lighter than the sample door. We are holding the jury out on that until they are up. If necessary we may decide to get a glaze (that we passed on initially to keep in budget, glaze is about 1% more) added after install.
Yesterday while looking at a photo of the granite slabs we are considering I noticed a fault line in one (idk what it really is but it's a flaw with potential to cause a problem in fabrication) and turns out both of them had it. So our contractor was at the granite place today and they pulled yet another slab for him to check and I sent dh over to approve it. Oddly my ultra conservative dh is choosing a wildly patterned granite so I want his stamp of approval, if he likes it I'm gonna like it. That one was ok and we're moving ahead.
Today the plumbing and electrical are getting moved and tomorrow the new appliances arrive. I miss my sink most of all but the wait will be so worth it!
Re: Fun in the kitchen
After seeing the before on FB, I too was super impressed with your ability to live with it. I'm about ready to rip out the upper cabinets in the rental and replace with shelves and we're only in that place for another 3-4 months.
I can't wait to see the finished product!

OMG B...I was floored she said that. I called her last night and gave her a hard time telling her she is officially off her rocker and I'm taking her to a home, I said I was calling my brother. She said that she hasn't seen it in a long time, uh mom...it was Thanksgiving.
I do not want to take over Ann in the crazy mom category.
