There is a girl on my BMB with a dog who has allergies. Have any suggestions for her? Here's the

Re: Ojo (Dog Related)
That dog eats Pedigree. No wonder he's got issues. I would never jump straight to prescriptions without starting at a lower level (cheaper) resolution.
It's the truth though. I've noticed with other types of animals as well that pet stores sell some terrible things as "pet food" that are inappropriate for any animal, let alone one with allergies.
Oh FFS! Why post on the internet if you're not looking for a stranger's advice??
I doubt they really followed through with a full diet trial.

You did your best. On the one hand it's good that she judges any advice she receives from random internet strangers. On the other hand it would be nice for her to at least visit some of the links you offered. As far as you calling her a bad pet owner. I don't think you did, you just sounded really concerned which I can understand since you obviously understand what it's like to have a dog with allergies.
She needs to consult a second vet, really, and preferably a holistic vet. I didn't mean to imply she was a crappy pet owner, but it is undeniable that she is feeding a crappy food, and I am dumbfounded that she'd go to the extent of halfassing the allergy test by not finding out what foods affect him.
