I am trying to get my jaw surgery scheduled for January.
I spoke to the orthodontist, oral surgeon, and my HR benefits lady before the holidays. Orthodontist is good to go. The other two promised they would get back to me before the end of the year.
I have had to call/email both the oral surgeon and the HR benefits lady since returning to work... how long do I give them before following up?
I called the oral surgeon's office today to check on progress for booking the surgery and I think the lady was a little annoyed that I called 2 days in a row.
But frankly, January only has 31 days it it. 8 of which are weekends. Surgery can't happen before the consultation on Jan. 10. They don't perform surgeries on Fridays. That leaves me with 12 days in the month of January for this surgery to happen (and if we don't do it in January, then I have to wait until April because of D's work schedule...which then delays any TTC plans that may or may not be in a ridiculous holding pattern waiting on a new jaw placement).
How persistent should I be? ...and I wonder if I am truly the only person who thinks like this.
Re: How Persistent Should I Be?
Sadly, I have told everyone that I need it done in January due to work schedules. Apparently I'm the only one who thinks that is important because everyone else is dragging their feet.
I am going to try to stay on top of it without being a nuisance...if at all possible.
I'm 100% with Naylon on this one. I'd be nice but persistent... even if she's just scheduling you to "get rid of you" she's still scheduling you!
