Wow it's already Wednesday.
I'm sore from my trip to the gym yesterday and I'm trying to convince myself to go again later today.
If anyone familiar with Urban Farming Magazine? I just saw a copy at the library and wonder if anyone had any thoughts.
Re: Hump Day already Randoms
Good morning!
Sounds like a successful trip to the gym yesterday, Deeder. I'm not familiar with the magazine.
Yay for the gym! You'll probably be even more sore tomorrow if you really worked hard yeseterday. I'm always in the most agony on day 2. Haha. Go again today, it will be totally worth it, even if you do a light workout.
Never heard of the magazine. I wonder if we subscribe to that here at work....
Good Morning and Happy New Year
Back on the other side of the state and in the full swing of things. You know it's bad when you walk into work after vacation and think "Ok- only 5 more months. I can do this". I have a countdown going already. Ah well. Such is life.
First class of my last semester tomorrow. I haven't done a thing. Senioritis has set in hard and fast. Sure hope I get my voice back by then. This whatever I have is kicking my arse pretty good. I'm just hoping I haven't infected anyone else.
Yay for the gym. I need to reintroduce myself to that place. Real soon.
I started drinking an herbal tea today. Yesterday I got a huge shipment of herbs in (1 pound is much more than I thought!) I think I have enough for a couple years' worth of tea. I also bought some nutritional supplements at Harvest Health (flax seed oil, nutritional yeast) but I think I'll space things out a little bit. Not sure my body can handle a lot of changes at once.
I also need to start hitting the gym. Last year I only used my membership for parking downtown :-) I hate the New Year's crowds though.
I am still fighting my cold. Mike said I was snoring last night so he got up, slammed the door, and slept in the girls room. This moring I am having stomach cramps and not feeling well. Ugh does this ever go away. Blah.
Hope that everyone is having a good day.
WOP - are you wearing your hair short now?
Yep, it's usually chin length or so. Long hair and I are not friends. Too much drying and styling time for me. Plus if I can put it in a pony tail I would to it every.single.day, and I like that shorter hair forces me to style it.
It wasn't to bad yesterday when I was there. However I was there at 7:15am and many people were leaving to get to work but still not busy.
Today I'll go a little later, early afternoon. Sometimes I base my time at the gym on what may be on TV. Since we don't have cable it like my guilty pleasure to watch things there.
That's such a bummer! That's how I lost my last stylist.
I've seen the new one (Rachel) twice. She's pretty good, although not as good as the one I was seeing before. She's really slow, which I attribute to the fact that she's pretty young and newish. She's super sweet, though. I think she's very good at coloring my hair. The cut isn't awesome, but it's good enough.
Honestly, the biggest reason I've stuck with her for a second round is because it's easy to get an appointment with her.
WHAT BOOKS?
Interesting. I hope it works for you.
Speaking of hair, I now use cornstarch baby powder in my hair instead of dry shampoo.
Ever try a peppermint shampoo? I've hard that is supposed to work for a dry scalp.
I have dandruff like a mo-fo.
I will look into apple cider and peppermint junk for my hair.
I've tried peppermint and tea tree oil. I've tried special dandruff shampoos, I've tried washing every day, every other day, every third day.. I've tried sulfate-free... I did the apple cider an hour ago, and my scalp feels calm. It's nice.
I didn't look that closely at it. I will next month when I can take it home. DH & I were talking more about it especially with it looking like we maybe moving this summer to my parents and they live on about an acer of land. My dad had talked about starting a garden last year but never got around to it.
The joy of cooking, All about breakfast and brunch.
Made it the gym. It was busier than the early morning. I tried the cross country program on the treadmill and then did some of the weight machines.
Yesterday R & I stopped in at Lowes and picked up some light bulbs for his work area and a 3 light track lighting set. Well the track lighting didn't work out so I took it back today along with the lights that went with it. Well Lowes never charged us for the $40 track light. only the light bulbs we bought. Ooppss on them.
A couple of weeks ago, I made a comment about how many people around me are announcing pregnancies. The grand total of people I know who have announced that they're pregnant in the past month is now seven. I think. I may have lost count.
WTH, people!?
It's a sign Kasa.
God is trying to tell you something. LOL.
Kasa, entertainment is expensive, so people are making their own fun (and babies)?
See, I thought that perhaps it was a sign of an improving economy. More financial security means the ability to feed more mouths.
Wow, baby boom.
Someone needs to let my H know that now must be a good time since "everybody's doing it."
Haha true that.
Improving economy, or some people realizing that they don't want to put their plans on hold.
