What kind of tampons do you use? I've tried using them a few times with a few different brands and it's always so uncomfortable. I want to try again since I'm off BCP and this is going to be a monthly occurance.

Since I was 12. But I've used all kinds in a pinch and can never tell a difference between any of them. I've also never used a pad.
Well, I know this isnt what you asked, but I couldn't not say it:
Go with the Diva cup! seriously it is so much more comfortable than tampons. Also, you don't have to worry about clogging up the pipes (see my past rants) or having a pile of used ones in the trash can next to you. You don't have to keep spending money on tampons each month. It doesn't have to be changed as often as tampons. It takes a couple tries to get used to putting it in, but once you get the hang of it you will never go back.
I forgot to bring mine with me over Christmas so I was stuck with tampons and was reminded again of how much easier and more comfortable the Diva cup is.

Ditto.
Thanks ladies! I know I'm in the minority and it's almost embarrassing.
I'm not so sure about the Diva Cup but I might give it a try in the future.
