Re: Your opinion - lame or not? (click poll)
So I vote lame only because I feel like it's not actually very thoughtful you know? If I want to put up a picture of myself with someone it's very easy for me to do so and select the frame and photo I like. I think something with more thought would go over better. I've also found a lot of people aren't "picture" people and would then feel like they have to display and it could come across as pushy.
Side note: Are you guys "official" yet. if not, then I would definitely say no.
We are, actually
In December, before he left for his overseas trip, we talked about it. He told me he'd been thinking of me as his girlfriend for a little while now. So... we decided yes, in fact, I was his girlfriend, and he is my boyfriend
haha
And FWIW, I was going to include a small framed shot (3x3) in a box with a bunch of other things for his birthday. But maybe I won't now, haha. Maybe I will take it to work and put it on my desk, ha. What you say makes sense, and I have no idea if he would appreciate something like a photo or not.
I vote lame ... it's very "college-y."
That said, I did give bf a pick of us before he went to camp with his Boy Scout troop this summer (he volunteers with a local troop). He took one on his digital camera of me because he didn't have one to bring. It was a horrible pic of me half asleep, no makeup. There was one that a friend of his took a few weeks prior at a party, so I printed that out and put it in his duffle and said, "Here is a picture where I don't look half dead." He took that picture on a few business trips after that and then finally put it on his desk at home and said he needed to find a good frame for it. It is now framed on his desk.
I am
about the results of this poll, haha
And also wondering why the shnowflakes aren't explaining themselves..
If it's part of a gift, I don't see the problem with it. Now if that was the only thing you were giving him, then I might question it.
DS and I went camping for a weekend with FF -- he was staying at the campground for a week after we left (it was right on Lake Michigan and the rest of his family was camping for that week too), so when DS and I were leaving to go home, I left a framed picture of me and DS in the camper. Not even 5 minutes after I left, FF called to tell me how much he loved seeing a picture of me and DS and how happy he was he'd have something to remind him of us during the week while we were back home.
I agree with this. And also, since he thinks of you as his girlfriend and you guys are official, I'm sure he wouldn't mind being able to see your beautiful face when you aren't around
You're sweet!
YAY!!!! I'm excited for you guys. Given the additional information I move my opinion from lame to just indifferent:). If you think he will like it, then go for it.
Thanks, haha
I think I will wait and see what else I find to go in the birthday box. If I put enough other fun stuff in there I will probably leave the photo out
For now, I brought it to work and it's on my desk. He's cute!

Well I'm sure some voters are posters from other boards.
But yeah, definitely lurkers, too.
I once posted and tried to get all the lurkers to come out and say hello, but only one or two did
WHY DON'T THEY LIKE US
haha
