Poll - Do You Like Knowing Spoilers?

I personally like it better if I know what is going to happen. I checked in on Reality Steve to find out the Bachelor spoilers and I will enjoy the season more now that I can watch for little things here and there that point to the outcome.

Also I *hate* being in suspense. It stresses me out! lol.

  • depends. when you get inside info on a reality show, like with reality steve, it makes it more entertaining to me.

but if it's the end of a movie, or someeone says it has an unexpected twist it kind of takes some of the fun out of it.

  • I don't like spoilers with my reality TV.  I'd rather not know who the Bachelor is going to pick weeks before it even premeirs.  I don't like that kind of spoilers.

As far as shows like Revenge goes, I don't mind those spoilers because I sit on the edge of my seat hoping something will happen and get crabby and mad when it doesn't.

  • I prefer to be surprised, but I don't FREAKTHEHELLOUT if I inadvertlently read a spoiler.

This. I love reality tv spoilers!  But I hate when something scripted is spoiled. It feels ruined for me.

  • Most of the times I do. I also don't go to the movies often so I read themoviespoiler.com to decide if it's even worth it to buy a ticket or rent.
  • If it's something I plan on watching in the very near future, I do not want to be spoiled. If I'm a long way off, I sometimes seek them out. I read all the Television Without Pity recaps of Dexter season 6, since I know I won't get to watch it until it comes out on blu ray.

  • This is also a "depends" for me. I tend to not care when it comes to reality shows.  I'll read all the "spoiler" posts about Top Chef before I watch it, and I don't mind knowing.

But w/ scripted shows, I tend to like to not know.  An episode builds off of past episodes and sometimes knowing how it ends - I miss certain nuances of a scene because I already know how it's going to play out.

  • I am okay with knowing small spoilers for sitcoms and dramas, but I hate having reality show competition results spoiled for me. I have had many SYTYCD and Top Chef shows spoiled on Twitter, so I go on social media blackout if I am really concerned about this happening.

  • I voted no.  I never think and analyze and try and come up with what's going to happen with a show or movie that I'm watching.  I like to experience things as they come.  Like finding out here that everyone thought Violet was dead on AHS totally ruined the surprise for me, even though I could see that it was pretty obvious after you guys said something.  It just never crosses my mind to try and figure things out or look into what this or that might mean.
