1st cruise. ? about excursions
Hi all!
Im sailing DCL later this month. First cruise, we will be going to Nassau and Castaway Cay. I was wondering do/should I find a beach to go to or find a definate activity to do?(before we get there??) We will be with out toddler. Im looking for things to do with a 20 month old. I want a clean beach(are they all?) and right now Im thinking about renting bikes at castaway cay.
Thanks
Re: 1st cruise. ? about excursions
I haven't been to Castaway Cay but it should be nice and clean as it is a privately owned island. I have been to Nassau, but didn't visit the beach there. From what I've read though, people recommend going to the Sheraton where you can get a pass for $25/person for the day. There is lots of info about beaches etc in nassau here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58
Pipe down, you had your chance!
castaway is disneys island. it's lovely, clean etc...
dh and i only went to the adult only beach so i can't say about the kids stuff.
Just go to the beach on the private island. It's a lovely clean beach & you will enjoy it.
Do something other than the beach in Nassau which is kind of seedy. There is a pirate museum which your child may like (or may be scared by).
