Does anyone have any suggestions on who to call to install a new water heater? Our current unit is older than we are, and we'd like to replace it before it totally dies. ***Knock on wood*** I've checked with Lowe's and they want $900 to install (also includes the unit itself).
We DIY a lot ourselves, but I'd prefer a pro when it comes to working with gas lines.
Re: Water Heater...ugh!
waves hello
I really don't know who to recommend. DH and his Dad replaced ours 5 years ago and I remember some of the hassle of bringing it into the house installing it and then returning the old one was a lot of work. What size is your water heater. Ours was $400 for a 40-50 gallon. $900 does seem pretty high unless its a tankless heater.
Hmmm....$900? That does seem kind of high considering a waterheater only costs around $400 or so. What about calling like....Godwin Plumbing? I think gvsu recommended them once before (I could be wrong). We installed one about a year ago, but DH did it himself.
How are you besides needing more hot water? We haven't seen you around much
My husband did ours as well.
Godwin Plumbing is who we would call if we were to have someone put it in for us.
Hi! We currently have a 40 gallon, and will either replace with a 40, or possibly a 50 gallon. I had looked at tankless, but I think it's too much of an upgrade for our house; we'd never see any returns on our investment when we sell.
How are you?
Hi Wop! I'm doing well, super busy at work so I can't nest during the day.
I do lurk a little at night, but then everyone else is gone. Maybe we need to start a "night nestie" thread. Thanks for the rec on Godwin Plumbing...I always forget about them.
I'm good Charity, how are you?
Thanks Freeburger! We could probably figure it out ourselves, it's just coming up with the time and energy to do it. I know if we contract it out, it will actually get done.
Thanks Missyna, how are you?
Thanks GVSU!
Thanks MrsKerCo. I'll check out Sommerdyke as well, I know my company has worked with them on some of our local jobs, so I'll check around the office too.
I'm actually on quite a bit in the evenings after Renee goes to bed. Nick likes to play his video games for a little while, and I nest :-)
Doing pretty good. I was just thinking to myself last night about how you were doing. Glad to see you pop in.
