Contractor request for 2story addition
I am looking to put a two story addition on the back of my house. Main level would be a kitchen and family room, upstairs would be the master bed room (its a cape cod so we lose some space on the second level). I have spoken to six contractors so far. The only one I really liked was way way way over budget (like twice as much as any body else).
Any suggestions for a competent contractor? I am inside the Beltway in Montgomery county. Thanks!

I've recommended AMGC LLC once or twice on here before - fair disclaimer, it's my DH's business
But they're licensed and insured, take pride in their work, and his workers have renovated close to everything in our house and I've been happy. Their website is here: http://amgcllc.com/?cat=3. They can do a walk-through and give you a proposal, you can call Tito Torres at 240-672-6001, or ttorres@amgcllc.com.
Whoever you go with, make sure they're licensed and insured, otherwise if something goes wrong you'll wind up eating the cost. Also, remember you can always ask for before/ after pictures, and you can ask for references. Good luck!
