Does anyone else have any crazy FB friends?
or am I the only one?
I am "friends" with someone on FB by default--I have been friends with her fiance for forever and didn't have the heart to decline her because it would've hurt his feelings. She's always been nice to me but let's just say that she isn't the classiest person I know. She comments on a lot of my status's and pictures and I'm embarassed (I'm sure that makes me sound like a terrible person).
Re: Does anyone else have any crazy FB friends?
Would my aunt count? She "likes" everything that anyone is my family posts or any page that my family likes. For instance she might like pampers just because i've liked them even though she is 60+ years old, never married and has no kids. She also responds to status's with the most weird crap, that our family thinks are supposed to be jokes, but no one gets.
This is what I did with SIL who is exactly how OP described. She couldn't see anything on my profile, asked me about it, and I told her that because of work "I keep my page pretty basic." It worked.
Don't we all?
yep
my sister quit FB, so that's cut down on a lot of the nutty posts. (or, she may have just hidden herself from me. .. not entirely sure what she did)
My father wrote the longest most rambling post about the Iowa caucuses the other day- of course his older brother (who is politically the polar opposite of him) had to reply. My comment was simply- "too long."- which my cousin then liked.
I have "hidden" a few people- one eeyore/stream of consciousness type- as a PP mentioned and one person who blamed everything bad in her life on the fact that she was living in MD- which was just ridiculous. She now moved back to her home "region" and I don't know if her posts are now all rainbows and puppy dogs, but I really don't care.
Yep, and the crazy part is that it is my old high school civics teacher. Apparently she is a very, very, extremely conservative... She posting long rants about Obama and democrats almost daily.
I have to say, having her in class you would never have known it. So either she is good at pretending to be neutral in the classroom or she got way more conservative in the last 15 years.
Someone's getting a little brother!

My SIL, although I don't feel like I can hide her because sometimes I like to watch the trainwreck :P and sometimes it's the only way I find out about stuff...like finding out via her FB status that she was coming to visit 2 days after DD was born. You know, sh!t like that. :P Grrrrrrr.
She click likes on every.single.picture and 95% of the status updates I post. If you are FB friends w/ me, you'll see my and another friend of mine's attempt to passively aggressively discuss how annoying is to sign on to 89 notifications (no joke, have done that before, all my SIL clicking like on my stuff) of "likes."..and it's not over a few days, it's 89 notifications within minutes! lol. She saw our convo and commented about how she is like button-happy, but continues to do it...apparently we were a bit too passive b/c she didn't get that it was about her. :P
I unfriended my SIL a long time ago because I was tired of the trashy drama. My husband even has her hidden from his feed.
My dad's sister is a crazyass kind of conservative. I'm not just talking "our politics don't mesh". I'm talking "she thinks 'my kind' shouldn't be allowed to vote" sort of crazy. I hid her a long, long time ago. I should really unfriend her since, at this point, we have zero relationship.
My sisters' mother is driving me nuts trying to sell me some weight loss shake crap. I deleted a comment from her the other night and a few minutes ago, deleted a wall post from her. One more infraction and she gets the boot. I can't stand spam emails or telemarketers - I sure as hell don't want salespeople on my Facebook.
