One of my resolutions is to use coupons. I need something to organize them better than an envelope (which is what I've used in the past).
I found some nice ones on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/glowgirl16
I want something that will fit into my purse and I like the idea of the ones that button onto the shopping cart like the ones in the link.
Is there a better way without lugging around anything too big or complicated. I've never found a way to organize them to be efficient and then I give up. I'm keeping track of what I spend every week so I can see what my average monthly cost is for groceries.
I don't plan to do extreme couponing! I just want to use the coupons that I get in the Sunday paper/checkout, etc. I will not be dumpster diving for coupons or trading them online. I figure I might as well use them if I have them for the things that I would normally buy.
Please share what you do!
Re: Coupon People-organizing question
Wow! I have a cheapo two-pocket one that I bought at the grocery store and I sort them by Food and Not Food.
See, now I think I need several categories as I get frustrated trying to find what I need.
I don't like the plastic organizers as they don't fit in my purse very well and crack...at least that's my experience with them in the past.
My mom used to go kinda crazy with the coupons.
She'd paper clip them together by store aisle and put them all in an envelope. The grocery list was written on the outside of the envelope.
