Kourtney and Kim

Has anybody been watching this season? I try to stop watching but it's like a train wreck that you just can't look away from. I have felt bad for Kris the entire season and I thought this week you could tell that Kim has no feelings for him anymore. At one point she says, "You are the most annoying person ever." I feel sorry for the next person she dates! I also thought that Kris was treated poorly for nicely asking if someone was gay- the fact that his wife changes in front of him could make Kris uncomfortable if the guy wasn't!

I dont think Kris H is a peach either. I dont know if he is being coached to be that way (because they all have to have their roles on the show) or not, but he comes off as a total ass most of the time.  I dont think he "nicely" asked the guy if he was gay. Not that there is a "nice" way to forcebly "out" someone. The way he went about discussing that guy's sexuality was completely inappropriate. It wasnt *just* that he asked him, but he was such a jerk about it, and completely obsessed about "outing" him. If the guy doesnt want to come out, or straight up doesnt identify as gay, leave it alone. Its not Kris' business. How horrific for that guy.

I'm not saying Kim is some angel or anything, but Kris isnt coming off as innocent and all that either. He's pretty inconsiderate most of the time.

Of course, none of it is real anyway...

  • I agree, I think the whole thing was stage. But pretending that it's not, I feel Kris did not really become "obsessed" until the other guy tried to attack Kris saying things like "have you ever flown on a private plane before Kim." At that lunch,  Kris apologized for asking and said he felt bad about it. The other guy then decided to attack Kris-probably because he felt attacked himself. It's funny because Kim later asked the guy the same question, but she didn't look bad doing so... Anyway, I think they are all idiots, but I heard Kris was being sued because of the incident so I thought it was interesting to see what happened on tv.

yeah they both acted badly. You have to see how Kim did it differently, but the only reason she thought to ask was because Kris was all obsessed about it. (also, she is actually very close to the guy and has a real relationship with him, as opposed to Kris)

I guess I just disagree with your opinions because you seem to be defending somehow what Kris did and the way he acted. Bottom line, gay people should come out when and how they want, and straight males who dont subcribe to the same male stereotypes people (Kris) think is the "right" way to be dont need to be badgered. I appreciated the second friend who came in and told Kris/Kim how awful it was to be outed like that, and even in Kris' apology, it was not genuine and he kept insinuating that the dude was gay and just hiding it. Not a real apology imo.

Thats my big problem with Kris in that show. He ASSumed that the guy was gay because he how he dresses, or likes things like potpourri, or whatever asinine aspect about him that "seems" gay, and then badgered him over and over again, and would not let it go. Staged or not, this is a horrible portrayal. Also belittling someone over not being on a private jet =/= badgering someone over their sexuality.

Obviously this struck a chord with me when I watched it.

  • I agree with all you said. I guess when I heard about the lawsuit before watching the episode I was shocked and angered that Kris did that (well, I shouldn't be because he kinda has no social skills). I think if Kris had an ounce of social skills he would have come off much better in the situation-even though he shouldn't have asked that question, especially on camera... I began the episode expecting to be pissed at him, so I guess coming in with that expectation, I was relieved to see that both people were wrong in the situation- if that makes sense. Obviously, I don't think outing people is good (especially on tv) but I think the way they both handled it made it so much worse than it had to be. Anyway, I could totally see how the marriage only survived 72 days. There is absolutely no chemistry and I don't think they even like each other!
  • I haven't watched this last episode yet, but will this weekend.

That being said I went into this season waiting to hate Kris with every being and for the most part I don't. When they were doing interviews after the marriage and on Keeping Up I didn't like him and couldn't understand what she saw in him, but now I see that a lot of it is her too. Does he have a mouth that just spits things out sometimes without thinking? Yes, but really who doesn't.

Rather than bold your entire comment Jilly, I'm just going to say I 100% agree with you. Kris was a belligerent asss towards Jonathan. Whether or not he is gay is none of Kris' business and it is wildly inappropriate for him to ask in the first place, given he barely knows the guy. But then to keep picking at it? So wrong. I keep waiting for the divorce episode and when he won't be on any longer. I can't wait for it.

  • also pretending this is real...

although i think kris acted like an ass i do think jonathan is a compete ass himself. the private plane thing was dumb. jonathan, imo, acts like he is better than everyone and it's annoying.

i dont find it shocking the kris wanted to know if he was gay- honestly, i thought he was too from keeping up the kardashians and his pr show he had- but kris def went about it wrong. considering kim admitted that she changes in front of jonathan and stuff...not a shocker that kris wanted to know.

so kris isn't perfect, of course, but kim is SO annoying. she is constantly mean to him. half the time i think he is just joking but she gets so bent out of shape. it's like it is her way or the highway....no matter what. no wonder her relationships never last.

on a different note- SCOTT CRACKS ME UP with basically everything that he says.

  • Yeah, I think the real shocker is that Scott is my favorite this season. How sad is it that he is the best of the bunch?!?
  • Again pretending this is real....

I don't think Kris knew what he was getting himself into.  He's not famous for playing basketball, he's famous for his relationship with Kim.  That's all.  Once they started dating he became famous overnight and I don't think he was prepared for that.  He never had to deal with people taking what he said out of context to such an extreme.   I'm not making excuses for him.  I think it was rude for him to question Jonathan's sexuality, and then to keep up with it.  I understand him being concerned because Kim changed in front of Jonathan.  He should have dropped it.

I've kind of felt like this whole season has been a set up and really fake.  I'm not a fan and I'm not a hater.  I'm just stating what I feel is obvious.  They do TV interviews and things are a "private matter" (ie the reason for the divorce) but yet when they are promoting a show they talk about how "open and real" they are with fans.

I completely disagree.  He didn't just ask once.  He asked multiple times, was extremely rude and even asked Jonathan's date if she thought he was gay.  He would.not.drop.it.  I don't like Kris at all.

And like others have said, I'm loving Scott.  I love when he took Kris Jenner to the morning show and out to lunch.  And bought the piano.

I was referring to the initial conversation- obviously the subsequent conversations were awful! I don't think Kris meant anything by the initial question. Then, he apologized at lunch. It was not until Jonathon also acted inappropriate at lunch that Kris decided to act inappropriate as well.  The subsequent behavior was 100% inappropriate but I do not think it would have gotten there if Jonathon accepted his apology or at least moved on. - Again, I believe this was 100% scripted so this is all hypothetical, but I think the initial incident was not that bad, and just showed his lack of social skills...

Duh! That's the season finale. You'll have to tune in next season to see the fallout.

  • Staged or not, I have no idea.  But what I gather from the show is that Kris doesn't know how to be tactful. And Kim, well, she will be single for the rest of her life.  I dont think she realizes that a marriage (aka a life together as well as compromising) comes with the million dollar wedding.  And that changing in front of a guy when you're married is pretty inappropriate, IMO.  Friend or not.

This is all true. And they also don't get that maybe not living with family and living with just your SO or Spouse is better than all living together.

All of this. I am sorry but if it was Kris that was changing in front of a female friend, Kim would be going ballistic. If Kim was to walk in to Kris doing naked yoga with a female instructor all h*ll would have broken loose. Look what she did with the party. While he didn't have to keep going with the whole gay thing Kris does have a right to know who his wife is changing in front of.

  • I have been watching it also, even though I said I wouldn't after the way she screwed over Kris, but like you said it's a trainwreck you can't look away from.  Kris seems very real compared to everyone else on the show.  I don't think the way he asked with rude either.
