Why do they make it so hard to do the right thing?

I called my insurance company.  First guy couldn't help me, transferred me to someone who was supposed to be able to.  She couldn't, so she gave me the # for someone who could.  He's some kind of supervisor, but he's on the road right now.  He tells me, of course, that I have to send it in to them, and to write a letter explaining what it's about and be sure to include my claim number and policy number.  I have my policy number, but the fire was long enough ago that all my paperwork has been archived by me (meaning removed from my accordion file and sent up to my mom's attic for storage), so I don't have the claim number.  So, now he has to go back to the office, un-archive the claim which was mistakenly archived.  I have to wait for a call back.  Then he wants me to send the check certified.  Such a hassle.  I want to just keep it.

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

  • Your HOA should compensate you (discount on next dues) for your extra work throughout this process.

  • This sounds like the biggest fluster cluck ever. I'm sorry!

Just out of curiosity, who do you have for insurance? You don't have to answer this if it's too personal.

  • Farmers

  • sorry that's a pain.....but shouldn't your insurance company have the claim number?! they should be able to look it up easily in their systems. that's annoying.
