It's slow. Ask me anything

I have some time to kill before I can go pick up my prescription from the pharmacy.

Is that you in your siggy?

Nope. I am usually over on BNOTB and they do awards every year. Since I have been in school the past year I haven't been on as much so I got voted most mysterious. Lol. I tend to hang out on this board way more now.

  • Why did you get marrie din the first place? For love? Peer pressure?

Why did you get marrie din the first place? For love? Peer pressure?

It was my first really serious relationship. I was young (got engaged when I was 19, married just shy of 21) It sounded like a good idea at the time. I knew in my gut it wasn't the right decision for me but I didn't want to swallow my pride and call it off.

  • What's your favorite drink (alcohol and non)?

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? And why?

What was the first concert you attended?

    When was your first kiss?

Are you still friends with your best friend from elementary school?

What's your favorite drink (alcohol and non)? White white for alcohol. Preferably moscato. Non alcoholic would be a caramel mocha latte. YUM!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? And why? Somewhere on the water with a warm climate. I'm not particular lol

What was the first concert you attended? A country birthday party bash for a radio station. There were like seven different performers. One was Patty Loveless, I know that.

When was your first kiss? I was 11. It was at a skating rink in the back with some guy I "dated" for awhile.

Are you still friends with your best friend from elementary school? Nope. I don't talk to anyone from back in the day.

  • What would be your at bat or entrance into a room full of people song?

What is your all time favorite movie?

Did you always want to be a nurse growing up?

What is your all time favorite movie? I love Step Brothers. I find myself quoting it a lot.

Did you always want to be a nurse growing up? Nope. I wanted to be a firefighter when I was little. Then when I got into middle school and high school I wanted to be a doctor. I did my undergraduate degree in biology to apply to med school and took all the pre med classes but changed my mind in my last year before applying. I decided to go to nursing school because I already had all the prerequisites and I knew I wanted to be in the medical field and nursing offers me a lot more flexibility.

  • I also started college pre-med and have a biology degree. I also got an education degree with it. I taught for a year, worked in non-profits for a while, and then went to nursing school, and I am SO GLAD that I became a nurse instead of sticking it out and going to med school. It was a MUCH better fit for me, and I love it so much!

Yes, I am so very glad I didn't go to med school. I have a good friend that graduated with me that is still in med school and hearing her stories makes me way more grateful. People seem to think I chose to be a nurse because I wasn't smart enough to be a doctor. That isn't the truth. I had the grades and I graduated summa *** laude of my nursing class. I just value my time. Now, I have a 8-5 job in an office. When I go home for the day, I am done with work. I am not on call.  I could not have been that lucky straight out of med school.

I actually once said to one of our doctors, "I became a nurse because I wanted to be a nurse, not because I couldn't be a doctor," when he was talking down to me about something. I work in a hospital, but it is so awesome that when I go home, someone else comes in to take care of my patients, so I don't have to take work home with me. Best. Job. Ever.
