I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
Re: Hey Marine people
Yup. I think it's SO, SO much better than how public H's unit's FB is. I'm waiting to be approved, but I like centralized and uniform information dissemination, so I am tentatively psyched about it.
I completely agreed and they are slowly phasing out the old MCT. We get an email that say "hey check out the latest on emarine!" and that's about it. The neat part is the readiness program is now open to anyone the service member deems family. I think this is the best thing they have done in a long time. I remember being the "fiancee" or "girlfriend" and not being allowed to get any information even though we had been together for several years. It is a much better system.
Yep. Our FRO is really on top of things and has already signed all the guys up in our unit and instructed the families how to get signed up as well. I got on earlier this week.
It is really nice (or at least our unit page is). They put up calenders and upcoming schedules.
We had a meeting with the command and the FRO had all the Marines sign up and add their family members too.
