Re: Has this been discussed?

  • Indifferent

This is a mind-fcuk if I ever saw one. Disgusting message.
Water is a great thing, it hydrates you and we should probably all drink more than we do, but in place of food? No way...

Is this from the pro-ana or anorexic hand book? Where is this from?

I don't think we've discussed it yet, but whoah man if its some advertising schtick then I would be horrified.

I saw one like that (not as bad) and thought about posting it here.  It linked to a website where a girl blogged about how she became anorexic to lose weight.  It really is disturbing, and even more so when you think about all the people who repin it.

    This is my siggy.
  • This inspired me to eat a chocolate-covered peanut butter joe joe.

    THANKS, PINTEREST!

  • Did I ever tell you guys about the time back in college when I mentioned to a girl that I was hungry and she said, "That's just something we all have to learn to deal with."  I think I responded with something sensitive like, "We who? I'm going to raid the kitchen for tater tots."
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • lol Muddled.

I mean, there are extremes on both sides of the argument BUT, food is needed to keep up alive. You shouldn't hate to eat, period. You should get a least a mild enjoyment out of it, seeing as you'll die without doing it.

I would LOVE to know how the ever-living-crap they think this is a POSITIVE message?!!! WTMF?! Has anyone given reasoning on Pinterest about how the heck that is even remotely positive (aside from advocating hydration lol)?

  • I like Pinterest as a system and I think it has a lot of potential but the culture there is abolute crap. The fact that everything in the geek section is just pop culture junk, the thin-spiration, the "cute" pictures of a kid dressed up to look like a homeless man that everyone on there thinks is just the funniest thing ever. Ug.
  • This is propoganda published by those damn pro DHMO'ers.  Don't fall for it!!!

  • That makes me think of "Good Omens," which is a hilarious book about the Apocalypse.  In it, among many other things, Famine (of the four horsemen) opens a wildly successful fast food restaurant which sells only "food" that doesn't have any calories.
