I know someone posted about resolutions, but I'm not really into setting things i know I won't succeed with. So I was thinking more of things I hope to accomplish in 2012. Anyone been thinking ahead in hopes of things you want to do?
My list includes: Finish master's in March, find a different teaching position before next school year, take our family on atleast 2 mini vacations since DH won't have much vacation time, pay off credit card, and try for baby #2.
What are yours?

Re: Goals for 2012
I love setting goals for the year...in 2011 we got 3 out of 4!
This year, our goals include:
Purge excess items from the home and get everything organized so we're not going crazy once the baby gets here --- there's actually a lot of subparts to this one. We'll need to clear out the third bedroom, and right now its a catch-all of my desk and bookshelf, the Christmas tree, etc. Its got a lot of stuff. Our storage closet is pretty full already. And DH's office is packed to the gills, so it will take some effort to get my office in there. Yeah, this is a big goal.
Build savings by a net amount of $5000 - This is lofty but doable. We could put more than that in if we were really trying but I know we'll need to dip in for baby supplies and maternity leave. This does not include what we're putting in retirement accounts - this is household/house down payment savings.
Keep our cars running so we can go another year without car payments.
Bring home and begin to raise a healthy and happy infant.
That's it! Four good goals that are lofty yet achievable!
Life of mrsjanks
I have quite a few:
I hope to pay off all credit cards and student loans this year but that's rather lofty. I at least want to have credit cards gone. We've had those things since college and there's just no reason why they shouldn't be gone by now. I swear I have school parking passes on there from Junior year. Sheesh.
Replace my car.
Go at least one place that requires a flight.
Make plans for our anniversary.
Finish remaining house projects.
Furnish and decorate the basement.
ETA: I just realized I might as well have written
Save Money!
Save Money!
Spend Money!
Spend Money!
Spend Money!

mine are super lame!
-stick with a face washing routine (went and bought the Clinique system and I love it so far....I was just using those wipes and they were not doing the trick!)
-get my hair cut at least every 12 weeks (I always forget)
-dress up more/pay more attention to trying to put some effort into looking nice and not falling back on the things I always wear
- Pay off our credit card
- Learn as much as possible in my new job, and be successful
- Purge and organize, in serious need to downsize things
- Try for baby #2 in the summer
Colorado?
Blog
16 read! my read shelf:
I'm definitely a "goal" person more than a "resolution" person, too. I think goals tend to be more definite, where as resolutions can be vague.
Fitness related: Run 5 half marathons. Learn to ride my bike with clip-in shoes. Complete a Century (100 mile) bike race. Lose between 12 and 17 lbs.
Work related: learn to bid. Spend less time wasting time at work. Move up in my career (hopefully get a promotion, or at least some new responsibilities).
I have some!
-Try to read 20 books. I read well, but I often put off reading in favor of other activities. I'd like to try to read more.
-Create a big girl room for Natalie and refresh the nursery so it's ready to go for baby #2.
-Continue to work towards my MA, and keep my 4.0
-Clean out and organize every closet in this house, plus the basement and garage... fun times.
You know, I've always wanted to visit Colorado
Hahahaha!
I have three:
-Attempt to bring lunch at least twice a week to save $$ (See poll post above)
-Use the new elliptical 4 times per week
-Cut back in impulse purchases - especially clothing, shoes and random trips to CVS!
Dude, random trips to CVS and Target kill me and I don't have anything to show for those trpis. It's ridiculous! I sent DH out for a few things at CVS two nights ago and it was $50. WTH CVS.
If I just don't go then the problem is solved but that's the hard part.
TTC since Sept 2009, 2 uterine septum surgeries (Jan and March 2011), 1 chemical pregnancy (4/11), 1 ectopic pregnancy (8/11), and missed m/c at 11w5d (3/12)
Failed IVF #1 (July 2012)
FET #1 October/November 2012 BFP, m/c at 5 3/7
February - operative hysteroscopy
Late April/May FET #2

I agree with the setting goals instead of resolutions that seem to be vague. A while ago that 365 in 365 was really big. I decided to write down 35 goals for the next 365 days.
Some of mine are:
Send birthday cards (in the mail)
pay off credit cards
get my wedding dress cleaned and preserved
lose 10 lbs
Get DH 4 just because gifts
Pack my lunch 2 times a week
These are my goals.
1. Get pregnant.
2. Lose 10-15 pounds via eating right and exercise. (Obs if I accomplish #1, then it will just be to eat right and exercise, not lose weight.
3. Finish paying off our lowest credit card.
4. Put 1000 a month into savings.
5. Take a mini vaca with DH this summer. Yosemite would be nice but not relaxing, so maybe San Diego. A weekend in Napa would be nice if I'm still sans baby.
