I've drugged myself with a sleeping pill. Just waiting for it to kick in. P is at bowling. He was a bit of an ass tonight. Just ignorant. So I'm kind of glad he is gone, but now I'm just moping.
Re: Anyone?
The only time I've ever used drugs "recreationally" is when I've needed sleep. I love drugged sleep.
I hope you get some rest tonight, Mo.
Husbands should be like Kleenex: Soft, strong, and disposable.
I love pills. Sorry he was an ass. But, he probably doesn't know what to say and the way you feel everything anyone says is going to suck.
Watch Jersey Shore tonight as you zone out. It won't help but you might get a laugh. We're watching Project Runway right now.
Thanks. I hate to complain, because it's unrealistic to think that he would be meeting my needs with 100% accuracy on something that neither one of us has dealt with before. And he's upset too, so I have to recognize that. I just hate that sometimes when I'm venting or thinking out loud, he's cutting me off to offer solutions. Dude, there ARE no solutions, so just shut up and be a sounding board.
My issue is that the surgery center that I go to on Monday is the exact same building I go to for work, 3 days a week. And it's literally the first suite that you go past as you walk in the building. So now, 3 days a week for the rest of my employment with the hospital, I get to look at those doors and think, "Hey, that's where I got my D&C." There is literally no way for me to get to my testing site without passing that suite. I just don't want the reminder, especially first thing in the morning on Tuesday, the day that I go back to work from all this.
I'm sorry that he was an ass. And even more sorry that you'll have to walk past surgery center so often, especially so soon afterwards.

Not to offer solutions, but is there any way to have your procedure somewhere else?
Either way, that sucks.
I know...I know. But you "fixers" can make a girl nutty sometimes. And of course, he gets his feelings hurt when I try to explain that I just need a listener.
I tried to tell him that he should imagine himself pooping his pants in a restaurant. And every time he drives past that restaurant, he would have that memory of pooping his pants. There's just no way that you can stop thinking about something like that. Maybe not the best analogy, but it was the only thing I could come up with on short notice.
Wendy, I don't think there is. My doc only goes within our hospital system. So there are a few campuses, but his is the labor and delivery hospital, while the next nearest one is over an hour away. I guess we could go there, but I don't really want to do that either- just seems like more trouble for P.
Oh, and get this. I have to get an EKG tomorrow. So one more fvucking appt for all this. And what? I'm 31. If I have an abnormal EKG (which I won't), it's not as if they are going to send me to cath lab before I get a D&C. They'll do it anyway. It's just such bullchit.
H is a fixer too, sometimes I just need to be allowed to feel man. It sucks but they mean well. Maybe it is good you are alone for a while and can head to a wonderful sleep.
Sorry about the office location, that is really sucky.
I do agree that he's just grasping for solutions to make the helpless bystander feeling go away. He wants to make some of it go away for you.
Why an EKG?

At first I read this as him looking in the mirror and saying "you're welcome" to himself. I guess it's pretty much the same thing though. Heh.

I'm sorry Mo, what an awful thing for both of you to go through.
I am a "fixer" too. It really does come from a place of love. I've become aware enough of it that I can generally stop myself, but when someone I care about is hurting, I have this frantic feeling of needing to do something to make the hurt stop, it's hard to control sometimes.
Hopefully you guys can find ways to support each other through this. I'm so sorry it's something you have to deal with.
