Re: Friday Five
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? She-Ra! He-Man's twin sister. My brother bought as many He-Man VHS tapes as he could find, and me all the She-Ra's he could get his hands on. Can't imagine how much they cost!
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? Totally Monica on Friends, I'm a clean and organizing freak, love to cook, fell in love with an older man (obv I didn't break up with him and marry a guy closer to my age, but if I would have said one word different several years ago it could have all been different. . . )
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? Friends- they always are having a good time and it would be fun to know Phoebe and Chandler in person
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) The Office, The Big Bang Theory (just started a month or two ago)
5. Plans for the weekend? Making spaghetti and meatballs for my dad (5 hr project) tonight, going to a chiropractic appt tomorrow am and having lunch w/my dad (taking said food with me of course) and shopping on my way home for more yarn and bras at VS's semi annual sale! Sunday no plans :-)
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid?
Oh gosh, I loved so many shows. Full House, Perfect Strangers, the one with Steve Urkel, Alf, I could go on and on. And Wheel of Fortune, I always liked watching game shows!
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with?
I always thought I was alot like DJ Tanner LOL - when I was young I had long hair and a chubby round face, and people say I kinda looked like her
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - I want to be rich for a day
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course)
I guess maybe Dexter. All my friends talk about it and love it, and I don't have Showtime, so I never watched it. I could catch up on DVD but I'm not that dedicated!
5. Plans for the weekend?
Yoga tonight
Getting a new heating system tomorrow (I'll explain this in a separate post later)
RELAXING! Maybe I'll use my massage gift card this weekend from DH
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? I never remember what shows I watched, but I do remember lots of cartoons. Kids these days just don't know what they are missing.
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? Not really.
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? The Amazing Race. I just want to travel the world though, I don't really want to do all the tasks, unless they are fun
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) Bones. I think I caught it in the 3rd season and I really want to go back and watch from the very beginning. NCIS as well. That show kicks ass!
5. Plans for the weekend? Errands and cleaning. We need to continue with clearing out the house and organizing all of our stuff for the baby's arrival. I have a mental to-do list and it makes me a little frantic sometimes when I think about.
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? I loved me some Sesame Street! My mom tells me that when I was really young I used to call Big Bird 'Big Dude'... clearly I was smitten
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? I can relate a lot to Lily from How I Met Your Mother (played by Allison Hannigan). In their group of friends on the show, Lily and Marshall were the first to get engaged and married. They also throw high-fives and great one-liners at each other. She also stubborn and hates the word 'moist' (uggggh it gives me the willies just thinking about saying that word outloud). She's also the 'mom' of the friends, always caring for everyone in the rest of the group. I totally see a lot of myself and my life in that character.
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? How I Met Your Mother (can you tell I'm obsessed?). I'd love to live in NYC and to have such an inseperable group of friends like they do. And, it would be hilarious having Jason Segel as a husband and Neil Patrick Harris as a best friend. It'd also be awesome to have the time and the money to go the pub every single night.
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) Dexter! We just found out about the awesomeness of this show last winter from a friend. We rented each of the seasons from our local library and were instantly hooked. We got caught up in time to watch this past season as it aired on TV. It's just such a fantastic and exciting show, I don't know how we didn't catch on sooner!
5. Plans for the weekend? Tonight I'm going to the chiropractor for the first time to get an adjument done on my back. Tomorrow, we're heading into Boston with 10 of our friends to go to two college hockey games (UMass/Vermont and UNH/Maine) that will be played outside at Fenway Park. We'll stay over at a friend's house in the city. Sunday we'll be heading home early I'll probably do some picking up around the house and some grocery shopping. Of my two teams, one was elimated last weekend (Cowboys) and the other doesn't play until next weekend (Patriots), so I've got a weekend off from football
Enjoy your weekends girls!
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? I loved Full House....I can't remember what I watched as a young kid though! Probably Rainbow Brite & Smurfs.
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? Oh gosh, I wouldn't even know where to start with that!
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? Grey's Anatomy...look at all the eye candy you'd have! McDreamy & McSteamy...yes please!
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) Grey's Anatomy....I picked it up a few season in. Also Revenge...but I did go back and watch all the episodes I missed on Hulu.
5. Plans for the weekend? Tonight DH is off from his PT job, so we're having dinner and movie night in. Tomorrow I am going dress shopping with a friend who is getting married NEXT MONTH (!!!) and doesn't have ANYTHING done! It's kinda driving me nuts, so I've taken on the role of her "wedding planner." Sunday I'll prob go to my parents...my mom got a 2012 Ford Edge and I'm dying to see it (I love them!)
10/11: Dx PCOS, 2000mg Metformin

1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? Winnie the Pooh - Seriously, the theme song brings tears to my eyes because it brings such an inner peace. We will be using Winnie the Pooh (classic - the way it looked in the books) as the theme for our nursery! : )
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? Last year I felt a lot of connection with Julia from Parenthood. I remember how hard I bawled when she found out that she pretty much couldn't have any more children. Heart wrenching!!! I also feel l connect with Grace from Will & Grace. There is an episode where she is mourning a break up (from Nathan - Woody Harrleson) that I just SO connect with! I remember at the end of the episode before that when they break up, she just sobs in Will's arms...still brings tears to my eyes because I have felt that before.
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? Oooo, depends on the day. Some days, Grey's. They have SUCH interesting lives and it seems like it would be such a thrill to be a surgeon. ALWAYS Sex & the City - I just want to go live in NYC for like one month! I also would live on Will & Grace. And just hang out with Jack & Karen all day long...
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) Um, not really. With Netflix, I have gotten in on Grey's, Desperate Housewives, LOST, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and recently Bones. All of which I just started watching in the last two years or less. I like that I didn't have to wait 6 years to figure out what happened in each! Haha!
5. Plans for the weekend? Nothing too much. Some cooking and cleaning. Lions play tomorrow afternoon, so I for sure will be watching that. Planning some nap times in there, too. My mom just finished The Help and gave it to me to borrow. I am going to try to get that read quickly because she got the movie for Christmas, too, and we both said we had to read the book before we watched the movie.
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? I had lots of favorites. I loved everything that was in the original TGIF line-up on ABC, Smurfs, Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Letter People

5. Plans for the weekend? what I want to do is absolutely nothing, what I need to/will do is different.
Tonight I need to run some errands to return some Christmas gifts, and get a few things at Target
Saturday will be laundry and taking down the Christmas stuff. I may run to Lane Bryant and get some new bras since they are B2G2. My BFF is having a Pure Romance party in the evening, so I should go to that.
Sunday we will probably go to church then we have one last family Christmas party. DH has to go into work for a few hours too. We will probably finish taking down the Christmas stuff too.

3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? I'll come back to this.
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) I have heard so much about Big Bang Theory and never watched it. Last night I watched 4 episodes on TBS and it was great! I am definitely going to be watching this show. Netflix has ALL of the episodes on demand so I can't wait.
5. Plans for the weekend? My SIL is coming to visit for the weekend, and DH is working all weekend so I am just going to have to entertain her. I also can't spend a lot of money this weekend so I am trying to find some local economical things to do. I am thinking some kind of TV Season/Movie Marathon on the couch since I am pregnant and love just laying around on the weekend. We will probably go out and watch football on Sunday.
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? Cartoon-wise I was all about Fat Albert, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes & the Groovy Ghoulies. Sitcom-wise it was Silver Spoons, Diff'rent Strokes and Welcome back Kotter.
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? When I was single in the late 90s and early 2000s it was definitely Ally McBeal. Horrible luck with guys and constantly dating, trying to find the "right one." The ones I liked disappeared in a heartbeat and the ones that I felt nothing with wouldn't leave me alone.
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? 90210 because those SOB's had it made!!
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) I missed the 1st season of 24 and wish I could've gone back and watched it. I probably still can.
5. Plans for the weekend? Checking in on mom tonight after her surgery (which went well!). Niece's 21st birthday party tomorrow night at a bar (where the Lions vs Saints will be aired!) and bum time on Sunday.
1. What was your favorite tv show as a little kid? I really liked Full House and Family matters.
2. Is there a character on TV that you identify with/ feel is your long lost twin? What are some of the attributes that you identify with? Hmm...I really can't think of anyone...
3. If you could live in any tv show which would it be and why? How I Met Your Mother, I just love that show, and I can sometimes relate to that group of friends.
4. Is there a show you didn't watch from the beginning which you found later and wished you would have started watching it sooner? (can be more than one of course) Desperate Housewives.
5. Plans for the weekend? Not a thing...
