We had a lovely dinner at The Plough and The Stars.

I was really pleasantly surprised, my hopes were not high.

One of the owners lives on our street and DH wound up booking us in because a few of our neighbors were going and it was close to the fireworks.

We both had rack of lamb, and it was really good!  Good lamb, not flavorless, not gummy, cooked and seasoned perfectly.

And their Irish Soda Bread is addicting.  Our waitress hooked us up with a to-go container full of ISB and brown bread.  Which I now know that we can buy there by the loaf.

Anyway, a good meal and a convivial evening from a venue that I had sort of written off.

In other news, MEXICAN IS COMING TO FAIRMOUNT. THANK YOU HAYZEUS.
