Hey-thanks for thinking of us.
We had childbirth class last night at the hospital, so I went with Ryan to stop by and see him while we were there. Not exactly what I want to do, but trying to be supportive.
Anyway, no real update because I don't know what to say. He's not in good shape. Between kidney failure and pulmonary fibrosis (operates at about 15% lung function on a good day, so on oxygen) he was bad enough. But now he has a liver disease and at least one other thing going on. Last year they thought he had a pseudo-tumor (the symptoms of a brain tumor but no actual mass) but this new doctor thinks it is something else (the name is bypassing me at the moment) related to the blood vessels leading to his eye (he keeps losing vision, etc). The brain scans also showed a series of mini strokes but not all recent-he has probably been having them for months.
So, who knows. He hadn't slept in days when they called an ambulance, so they are drugging him pretty good to try to get him to sleep right now. He only has enough strength to lift an arm basically. He doesn't seem confused however.
I am trying to just be supportive of RYan and leave it at that for now...
