What Are You Planning on Reading This Year?

I'm midway through the fourth Harry Potter (yeah I know I'm about 10 years late).  I think I'm going to take a HP break and read Elizabeth, the Queen next and then pick up HP from there.

Re: What Are You Planning on Reading This Year?

  • At the moment I have a list of about 20 or so free books I have downloaded from the Sony Reader's website that I want to read before I plan anything else to read. I do want to read the Hunger Games this year.

  • I'm finishing up Book 3 of the Sparrowhawk series (a historical fiction) and in between each book I'm reading a book from a stack that was given me by my dad. I've not bought a book in so long it's ridiculous; my grandmother reads quite a bit and then mails the books she's read to my dad; who also picks up a few books on his own time and when they're done reading those books they pass them along to me. They're all James Patterson, David Baldacci, and similar.

  • I was thinking about maybe reading the sookie stack house books. I share a kindle account with mil so I'm sure I'll read whatever she chooses too (largely like murder mystery books)

  • I'm working my way through the Dresdin Files and I love this series so far.

Im not sure what else I'll read. Oh, Girl with a Dragon Tattoo.

  • I just read the first book of the Janet Evanovich series last week, and bought the second.  I don't know if I really want to continue reading the whole series though because it's 18 books and even the oldest ones are still $8.99 for Kindle.

I have the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series on my Kindle, but I haven't been able to get into it.  I've started reading it a few times and just couldn't get into it.  I need to just force myself soon.

I think the sequel to Divergent will be out this year so I'm looking forward to that.  And the 4th and final book of this shameful series I read called Wings.

I love Emily Giffin books and really wish she would come out with more.

  • I have a TBR list that is a mile long. Right now I'm in the middle of The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Others I plan to read soon are The Hunger Games trilogy, Millennium Trilogy, The 19th Wife, the latest PLL books, latest Lying Games book(when it comes out) and a few travel books for our next big vacation.

I love Harry Potter, but I never have read the books so I think I'd like to start them at some point. I started reading Girl with the Dragon Tattoo also but got side tracked a few chapters into it so I'm also going to have to push my self to read the trilogy before watching the movie, I really want to see it.

  • I'm in the middle of The Hunger Games trilogy right now, and then I have The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series and Gone with the Wind.  I might also finish Les Miserables and The Count of Monte Cristo, both of which I've left about half-read for a year now.

I have the first few in paperback if you want to borrow them and not have to buy them.

  • I have a stack to get through at home, and then definitely Hunger Games and the Millenium Series. I'd also like to start reading a few other series, but I haven't decided on which yet.

  • I got the HP series for Christmas so I'll be reading those. If the next book in the Divergent Tril. comes out, I'll def be reading that. Also I have a couple of John Grisham books to read, Mockingjay, Water For Elephants, Henrietta Stacks,... The list is endless!
  • Just started Hunger Games Trilogy, and also started the Game of Thrones series, which I'm excited to finish. I also have a very long list of geeky sci-fi/fantasy books to read (Warcraft Novels, StarWars novels to name a few).

I think I'd like to branch out a bit this year and read some historical fiction novels, and definitely more of the classics.

DH is going to regret getting me a Nook, I don't think he has truly come to understand my obsession with reading, and putting so many books available to me at the push of a button... it's going to be trouble...lol.
