Once you book a cruise, does it ever get cheaper?
I booked a cruise for December 2012, and wanted to know if the cruise $ ever gets cheaper?
How is the best way to monitor the price?

Where should I check- the website where I purchased it from? The cruiseline's website?
if you didnt purchase it from the cruiseline directly see what the rules are from the company you did purchase it from regarding price reduction
Most times if the price of the cruise drops before final payment date, you will be given on board credit for the difference but you don't actually get a refund.
After the final payment date, even if the price drops you are locked into the price you paid.
Got it thanks. I booked a RCI cruise, so I guess I'll check on RCI's main website weekly.
This sounds silly, but is there a "better" day to check the pricing? (Sort of similar mindset of looking for flights midweek for better pricing...)
I just check ours weekly after booking and call the cruiseline if the price drops.
Most lines (not dealing with a booking through a TA - they have their own rules) will lower the price before final payment as long as the sale price isn't restricted to new bookings. After final payment, it is line dependent - some will let you upgrade, not sure if any of them let are still giving refunds or on board credit - you'd need to check with the cruiseline.
Cancer sucks.
I don't think there is a "better" day to check the pricing- like there would be for airfare. And I second what someone else said about them giving you a credit for the price difference, rather than refunding you the difference. I am def going to keep my eye out periodically to see if they offer my room type at a lower price- who couldn't use an onboard credit?!
