Good/Bad
Good: DH got a new job with great benefits and better pay. His last day at his current job is Monday and he'll start his new job on Tuesday.
Bad: His benefits end on his last day and we just found out how much insurance is with COBRA for the three of us. OMG, we are going to go through a good chunk of our savings for three months of COBRA benefits.
Sometimes being a responsible adult blows. Anybody else?

Good: I am going to try my hand and grant writing and if we get the grants I get paid. Classes also start on Monday, I am looking forward to them, now only if I had my money...
Bad: They are laying people and off and cutting programs at work. It is stressful.
Good: Dh met with a firm today for an interview and is going back next week to continue talking (fingers crossed.)
Bad: I think my office maybe moving again. OMG moving an office is crazy. It does mean purging though. We have a lot of crap that can go. Is it bad that the first thought that i think of is if we move.. will I be able to nest?
Good: It turns out Derek doesn't have to work on that side job this weekend! Yay!
Bad: Derek won't be getting paid extra money from a side job this weekend. Ha. Damn double edged sword.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Good: I had a great weigh in at WW yesterday and am 0.6 away from my 10%.
Bad: Someone brought homemade cookies to work today and left them in the pod near the bathroom. I may or may have not stopped there at least 3x on the way back from the bathroom.
Good: It is almost time to go home and I am really excited about the weekend and not being super busy.
bad: I am still super mad at DH for his crappy attitude last night and they way he treated me this morning. It is a good thing he is working this weekend.
Good: our big Secret Santa bash is tomorrow - it's something we all look forward to doing after the holiday madness is over. I can't wait to see everyone and celebrate.
Bad: I'm going to have a terrible time lying to everyone about why I'm not drinking and why we're not staying out super late. everyone knows we've been TTC for a long time, so I'm planning on telling everyone that my doctor gave me a strict "no alcohol" rule for this cycle. I feel like that's the most believable since they all know how badly we want a baby.
Good: my BFF text me to tell me she bought something spontaneously for baby Q at Target.
Bad: I feel kinda guilty that the first thing purchased for him/her is not coming from me. I'm so hesitant to buy anything... feel like I'm going to jinx it. =/

I'd say the doc's "no alcohol" rule is a good one! Especially if Sean can lay off the sauce too.
The first thing purchased for my baby came from Les for our SS on TK, and second came from you Mandee. Don't feel bad! I only just bought my first something this week!

Good: My new job seriously came just in time, things were starting to get scary money-wise. Also, I get some really awesome benefits.
Bad: Those benefits do not include any kind of vacation or sick days because it's a part time position. Everyone starts part time and may get the opportunity to go full time. So I won't be taking a lot of days off. Luckily John gets sick and vacation time.
Love the 'no alcohol' suggestion from your doc - if people push you on it you can always mention the # of miscarriages that happen in the first two weeks of pregnancy as a round off to the story. I told everyone something similar - except that I'd been told to lay of the sauce because of my IBS.
Good: I'm feeling good about the rest of the school year. It's going to fly by!
Bad: I was totally unproductive today and did nothing except eat sandwiches and play video games. Ah well, I only have a few more of these hurrahs in, right?
