We are booked for a Feb Bahamas cruise with my parents (62 and 60) and our two children, ages 5 and 8.
Any recommendations for excursions? Dinners? What to do on the ship? We have cruised before without kids and so have my parents.....obviously the kids would not enjoy drinking in the sun by the pool all day, so we need to come up with a game plan that everyone will enjoy.
Re: Cruise with kids?
There are kid- and family-friendly sail and snorkel excursions in Nassau. I saw a bunch with no age restrictions. I'd steer away from any of the "booze cruise" ones - fun, but not for kids.
You can also buy day passes to the different areas of the Atlantis resort. They have a water park, dolphin area, and aquarium.
On the ship, there should be tons of kids activities. Your kids should also be in the same age group, I think. But if they're not and it's just by a year, the staff will usually allow siblings to stay together. There's also plenty of activities the whole family can enjoy - dance lessons, "horse races", bingo, pool-side stuff.
