KAF Lovers

I have two gift cards to use up. Of all that stuff on the website I have a cake mix, a frosting mix, a pumpkin muffin mix, and a yeast spoon.

What's good?? I don't have time to devote to breadmaking anymore so I don't want to get a bunch of that stuff.

Re: KAF Lovers

  • If you do ANYTHING with apples, I recommend getting a bottle of boiled cider. It makes everything apple just pop. (My dad is a purist about his mom's apple pie recipe, but even he was sold after I gave him some boiled cider to try.)

Their dutch-processed chocolate/cocoa is fantastic, too. They have a few different type of cocoa that are great, but my favourite go-to is the dutch-process because it is good for pretty much anything (unlike some of the others which are too strong, too bitter, etc. for everything).

I also really love their flavour oils-- they have quite a variety, and a couple drops (1/8-1/4 tsp) goes a LONG way. They are great for flavouring frosting, fillings, etc. And they don't take up much room in the fridge.

Also, I don't know if you have these already, but the little push measuring "tubes" are great for soft ingredients like butter, cream cheese, pumpkin, etc.

I'm sure I could come up with more items if none of the above tickles your fancy; I should own stock in KAF. LOL

    Happy shopping!

  • I second the boiled cider and dutch-process cocoa.  Both are amazing.  The boiled cider is also good on pancakes and waffles.  I like their vanillas.  Matt loves all the scone mixes that use cream.  My aunt adores the lava cake mix.
