UGH!!!

So the DR's office just called me and told me I failed my 2nd glucose test. She said it was just slightly elavated again. So now I have to go to a class for 4 hours on Monday. Anyone else fail both tests as well? I was sooo good this week and thought for sure I would pass.

Re: UGH!!!

  • :)   It's not a 4 hour class, it's a 4 hour blood test.  Or is it really a class, could be?  I failed both, the 1 hour and 4 hour so I had GD, with both kids.  I did take a nutrition class after I was diagnosed to help me prepare.

But I'm thinking your OB is sending you for the 4 hour blood test.

    thanks to jennied :)

  • I just did the 4 hour blood test yesterday. This is a diabetes class that I have to take.

  • sounds like you have gestational diabetes. Don't worry, the class will prepare you for the next steps - hopefully just monitoring your blood sugar (finger poke) and watching your diet closely. Many women can get by without having to take meds. I had to be super cautious with my diet but as long as I did that, my sugars were perfect. I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out for you.
  • I had it with Peyton and Berkeley but I was insulin dependent. I met with a dietician with Peyton but it was a quick half hour mtg.
