They took her in for a C-section this morning at exactly 30 weeks. At this time all babies are alive. Just FYI, a bit sad!
Baby 1 (boy) is healthy and the biggest at 2lbs 12 oz. He's doing well considering.
Baby 2 (boy) weighed in at 2lb 9 oz. The left side of his heart is not working and the right side is not looking good. His heart is smaller than what it should be at this week and doctors feel that if they operate that it will just prolong suffering. They are going to see how the next few days go before any surgery decisions or comfort care decisions are made. Does not appear to be hopeful.
Baby 3 (girl) weighed in at 1lb 5 oz. She has the genetic disorder. She actually is better than they actually thought. She looks totally normal except for genitalia. The other two babies soaked up the good nutrition and baby girl lacked. They are not sure whether she is a boy or girl. If it doesnt continue to develop, they will keep to test her gene wise and find out. Doctors seem to think that this baby will end up being fine (Was the slimmest chance of all when they got to Michigan).
SO, I think they still obviously still need some prayers. Typically I wouldn't share this much info with anyone and may delete later, but I know how well T&P's are around here and they could definitely use a few. I CANNOT imagine going through this. Breaks my heart!
Re: Update to friend with triplets
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
Do you know what the genetic disorder is? I know a former boss her had a little girl with a genetic disorder. She can't see, hear, cleft lip....let's just say the genetic disorder is so bad they only sent birth announcements to very close family and only very close family saw her at first.
Anyway, the docs stated she would only live for 6 days and from what I hear, she is still alive and is now 5 or 6 years old.
I will continue to lift your friend's family up in prayer.
Sending T&Ps their way-
Sending thoughts and prayers. What a difficult time for them.
