Just had my *** handed to me!

...by my personal trainer! Can I just say that Cardio Sprints are KILLER!!! She had me doing interval training on not one, not two, but THREE different cardio machines - back -to - back -to - back! Ug...then it was core stregthening stuff, finishing off with a 30 second plank - which I swear I thought I was going to die from! lol

I am so happy I made it! It's been just over 3 weeks since my surgery, so I was a little apprehensive to start, but it's all good! I am just super outta shape, still.

Tomorrow she is going to do strength training with me...so I am assuming on Sunday I won't be able to move well.

Here's to getting in shape again! Indifferent So far the 'healthy choices' goal for 2012 is off to a good start...let's see what happens once I head back to work on Monday after being off for just about a month.  I might need some cheer-leading from my Nesties!

  • I think it is awesome that you have a trainer.  That sounds like it would be good motivation!  Keep it up and you will be back in shape in no time.

  • Wow!  Go you!   I think having a trainer would be great...some help in keeping motivated.

  • Thanks ladies! It is nice having someone beside you pumping you up and motivating you to push yourself...unfortunately today (Saturday) is my last session with her.  In order to accomplish my New Year's Goal #2 - Pay off debts - I have to resign my membership at the health club and also not purchase any more sessions with her.

But yesterday's killer cardio plus today's strength training workout have been designed so that I can do them, or a version of them, at home with what I do have...she was great about supporting this decision and encouraging me with the fact that I can do this at home - that I don't need a gym to go to, etc. I appreciated that because some of the other places in my town are bad for making you feel guilty for 'quitting' and pressuring you to keep memberships or buy more sessions - it's more about their bottom line than about what's best for you, the client.

The last day of my membership is next Saturday, the 14th, so I am planning on getting to a few classes this coming week, and/or using the workout room as much as possible before I can't anymore.

After that, I am going to make a workout schedule every Sunday for the week - which DVD workouts to do, weights, and elliptical - I am hoping that this will keep me on track...maybe I should set up a reward for each week that I check off all the workouts...something small and non-food related...any suggestions?

  • Your header made me lol :-)

Keep it up!  I'm going back to dance classes starting Monday; I've been doing Bar Method for a while now instead of dance, and (I think I already shared this info, sorry to repeat!) but anyways now I'll be doing both, and cross training.

We'll all be fit in no time!!!
