Composting resources/books?

I got DH a composter for Christmas and a client gave him a Kindle.  I wonder... is there a book anyone would suggest he put on the Kindle to get started?  Or a magazine?
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.

Re: Composting resources/books?

  • Ill give you the down and dirty on composting, you put in your organic waste (veggie scraps, moldy bread, old starches, coffee grounds, egg shells - just no meat and dairy), you add in your yard waste, you turn the turn tumbler regularly and when it looks like dirt, you take it out and start all over again. If you want to get him a book, I would get him something like square foot gardening or lasagna gardening that focus heavily on soil preparation. Both go into the importance of compost in soil and talk about composting.
  • Composting is so easy and awesome. I hope you love it. I have links to references and info in my blog. http://moregreenforlessgreen.blogspot.com/search/label/Composting
