Any idea how much time at Tower of London with

a 5yo and 3yo?  Trying to figure out how much time I should allow.  I have been once but cannot remember how long we were there.

Re: Any idea how much time at Tower of London with

  • I'd say about an hour...there is so much to see there.

I like pineapples...they make life just so much more interesting.
  • Pineapples the tower is about 45 min so if you go on that you will need more time. I will

Also there can be lines for the crown jewels.

I would plan at least 2 perhaps more.  There are tons of stairs to climb.  The last time I was there the White Tower had a huge thing on armor it was pretty cool.  Henry VIII was HUGE!

I'm 90% sure at the moment it's Royal beasts, so say the posters in the tube.  So I would bet your kids would get a kick out of that.  At one point in time a lion and a polar bear have lived in the Tower.

The Ravens are also there and you can see a little demo, I feel like you might be able to touch them.

Also I feel like your little legs will take awhile to walk around, it's all cobblestone and uneven steps and such since it's so old.

Oh this will be right before the Queen's Jubilee so I would bet there will be something special for that as well.

I love the Tower if you can't tell.

  • I agree with pp I would give minimum 2 hours to the Tower.  When I went with DH we did it in an hour and we missed a few things and were moving pretty fast.  With two little ones I think it could take a little longer.

  • DH thinks kids that age would probably only last an hour and a half but he spent 2-3 hours there.
