Need recommendation for Orthopedic surgeon
DH needs to have shoulder surgery, does anyone have any recommendations? We are in NoVA.
Thanks!
Re: Need recommendation for Orthopedic surgeon
I saw them when I injured my knee and liked them. They weren't surgery-obsessed, which I liked. Several dr's told me I needed knee surgery to fix my injury (and it was a surgery that would have taken longer to recover from than total knee replacement, so a pretty big deal), but their doctors gave me alternative options before jumping to surgery, and those alternatives worked out for me. I liked that they didn't just jump the gun.
Another vote for Commonwealth. I injured my knee pretty badly in September and they were/have been amazing. Quick to call back if I had a concern or question (within an hour or 2), easy to get to (garage, close to highway) and just great care overall.
There are a bunch of Commonwealth offices and both DH and I have had bad experiences. I have never been to the one at VHC but the one in Springfield is awful.
DH is having surgery (again) with Town Center Orthopedics in Reston. The office is really well run and they have exhausted all other options prior to surgery.
