Any suggestions for some that are not HUGE money. I looked @ JCP, but I only see one that is cordless and for $170 a piece..ughh. One of the windows is 4ft wide so that limits me some. TIA
Re: cordless roman shades
Ditto pp.
If it's not on sale at JCP now. Wait a week or so. Curtains and blinds are always on sale there.
There should be some coming up soon actually. I spent my Christmas money last year on new blinds from JCP (wood) and like you have odd size windows, so I waited for a sale I caught that was the end of January.
Be aware though..it's still going to be pricey on odd sized windows..that's my problem too. I love my big windows but they'll be keeping their coverings for a LONG time.
I purchased honeycomb top-down bottom up cordless blinds from Selectblinds.com about a month ago. They were having a buy three, get one free sale. I spent around $400 for 8 odd sized windows. I know they have other sales, too. I love them.
Granted, I didn't buy roman shades, but maybe this will help.
I'm looking at an online company now called Shades, Shutters, Blinds.
- you can order samples of the fabric (recommended)
- there are more options
- price is very reasonable + they have options for remote controlled/motorized shades (perfect for a couple of our hard to reach windows)
I searched the web for reviews and mostly find good ones. If you are unsure about your ability to properly measure - on some of their shades you can buy measure insurance for a few extra bucks (but you can only return for different measurement - not color/style).
