Pregnancy Question

So I will be 32 weeks on Tuesday, and call me crazy, but I think the baby has already droppped? Does this actually happen this early, or am I imagining it?

I didn't think anything of it until he had the hiccups yesterday and I could only feel them WAY down there... also, I can suck my stomach in again, which I haven't been able to do for a few months. It's crazy weird, and maybe I'm imagining it. But I don't want to be one of those people who call my doctor over every little thing, when there's a good chance it's not a big deal.

Let me know what you think please!

Re: Pregnancy Question

  • Hmm. I think you are probably OK. But of course Im not a doctor. I never felt Makenna actually drop either so I didnt get that *low* feeling. If you are really concerned Id probably call the doctor. It doesn't hurt to call them and see what they think.
  • Hmm. I never really dropped, personally. Sounds a bit early to me, but if you feel different, trust your instincts. Do you have an appointment with your doctor coming up soon? It never hurts to ask, that's what they're there for!

  • I was the same way with Emmett. It actually hurt like he was pushing down on my bone. However the doctor never mentioned it and it was not an indication of labor for me. I agree that if it's on your mind give the office a quick call or ask at your next appointment.
  • I never actually felt Hayden drop but I did notice one day that I could breathe a little easier. I think it was over several days though. I would say if you have a dr's appt in the next week or so ask then. However, if you are worried there is absolutely no harm in calling earlier, that's what the dr is there for.

  • It's possible for baby to drop several weeks before going into labor but if you're worried mention it at your next appointment.

  • I had a really hard time with Jackson, because he was always really low. It was super painful. I did hear that you should be able to breathe easier once baby drops, but I never got that far. I never really had a hard time breathing, so it didn't matter. However, there's not much you can do if he's already dropped, as there's no way to push him back up in there. It's not a sure fire sign of labor, either, but I say call your doc if you're nervous. I was always told to be safe than sorry.
