Re: First Birthday Party
Ideas: VFW, Elfs, Legions and Firehouses.
We did ours at home, but in a few weeks have C's baptism at a firehouse because I cannot hose 80+ people at my house in winter.
We did A's baptism party at the Green Haven Pavillion, you have to know a corrections officer. It had tables, chairs, sound system, fully stocked kitchen, ice maker, and I believe that it was only $125 and you got money back when the key was returned. We also did her 1st birthday at an American Legion Hall by our house, again pretty reasonable in price.
I know my SIL lives in Hopewell near the Wicopee FireHouse and they use that for a ton of events.
We tried the Green Haven Pavilion (we know a captain there) per suggestion on facebook (including melis-n-mike!!!) but it was booked for our day and i was told by his wife (that also works there) that the summer books first.
We did ours at a local lions club...it worked out perfectly. We had about 60 people. We had the food catered and onlyhad to clean up...it was perfect!
