A totally random question here....
Do your kids have their "own" clothes, or do you just have a wardrobe that they share from?
I have no idea what brought this to mind, but I was just curious!
Re: jeana & haven
Interesting question.
Yes and no.
Luke is the "blue twin". His sippy, plate, blanket, towel, shirts, jammies, etc are always the blue one. I don't buy identical sets of clothes, so if one of the shirts are blue (which almost all boys clothes are), Luke gets that one.
Exceptions:
1. If both or neither shirt is blue, then it doesn't matter.
2. Luke is about a size smaller, so if a set is two different sizes, he gets the smaller, regardless of color.
We'll see how much they care about clothes as they get older. I certainly don't intend to force them to wear what I want once they can decide.
ETA:
3. When someone else dresses them like in my siggy pic. They'd spent the night with my ILs, and not only did they not put red with red and green with green, but Luke should be wearing the navy blue. Sheesh! Although, I wasn't nearly as upset about Luke not being in blue as I was about their mix of black and navy. My eyes! My eyes!
Ava wears a size smaller than Lily, so they each kind of have their own clothes. Sometimes they share shirts, but for pants/shorts especially...they have their own.
Because of this, Ava does get a lot of hand-me-down's from her little sister.
When they were babies, Ava was the "pink" twin and Lily was the "purple" twin. So they did have some clothes that were just theirs. And then they turned 3 weeks old and I realized resistance was futile and started dressing them in whatever I could grab quickly.
