Good Breakfast Place

DH and I are going to be flying into Denver to go skiing in a couple weeks (hopefully more snow will come). Can anyone recommend a good breakfast place near the airport or on the way to the mountains? Thanks for your help!

Re: Good Breakfast Place

  • If you can wait long enough, you could ppull off I70 in Golden and go to  http://blueskycafe.biz/cafeindex.htm

  • There isn't anything out by the airport. Where are you going? There are lots of different ski areas

  • Briarwood Inn is also just off I70 in Golden. It's a bit hoity-toity but their breakfast entrees and coffee are excellent. Casual dress is fine.

We're going to Breckenridge. Our flight gets in at 8ish and we can't check into our place till 4pm. So we're going to do all the non-skiing stuff that day. We're debating if we wanna stay in Denver for 1/2 the day and then head out or just head out and stop a little while in Frisco and shop Main St. Breckenridge.

If you're not traveling on a weekend day or holiday, and want toodle around downtown/LoDo, I would suggest Snooze at 22nd and Larimer.  I tried to go there last Monday (a holiday) and it was an hour and a half wait.  The Nestie I was with said it's usually 2+ hours on weekends.

It would be easy for you to get on I70 from downtown.

  • If you're looking for something close to the airport check out Moonlight Diner. Take Pena Blvd to Tower and go south about a mile and it's on your left. It's about 10 minutes from DIA.

I am not a Snooze fan - I think it's REALLY over rated.

I haven't been to Snooze yet.  Only tried that one time.
