Re: Resolutions/Goals/Wishes for 2012?
My goals for the year:
- Read at least 50 books.
- Keep working on the garden.
- Keep working on cutting out processed foods.
- Relax and enjoy!
Kate's Recipe Box || Relatively Bookish
I have a few:
- Try to be healthy, exercise, and eat right as much as possible throughout this pregnancy and beyond.
- Read more while I can.
- Eat out less.
2012 is looking full of promise for us. I know there will be difficulties, but I amd very much looking forward to this year. Lord willing, here's my goals:
-Start a blog
-Sell something on etsy
-Get M graduated
-Build our house and move in
-Pay off the truck and the remainder of M's medicl bills from last year
Take good care of my little baby and my big baby.
Exercise more.

Cook more often at home.
Get my house ready to put on the market.
William born 7/12/2000
Andrew born 10/30/2011 (9lb 4oz at 37 weeks)
- Get my house and schedule organized before the baby gets here
- Have a healthy second pregnancy
- Take at least one picture of Wyatt/C_mo2 every day for a year (my 365 project, just like last year)
ETA: - Have Wyatt weaned by June
- Cook dinner more often / learn how to cook / stop being so lazy about cooking
- Get the house painted, redo the walk-in closet
- Spend more time "in bed" with DH
And DH has a resolution:
- Lose some weight (I don't know how long that will last....)
I'm sure I'll think of more later but so far my goals are:
- Get a patio built in the yard
- Stop taking BC
- Try out some new foods (I'm a very picky eater)
- Read 50 books
As of right now:
-Lose weight (get into the 150's)
-Pay off all CC debt
-Get pregnant
get healthy and be happy with my body.
fit in my pre-baby jeans comfortably.
finish the basement
spend more quality time as a family
go on 1 date a month with just my husband.
- Enjoy the rest of my year at home with Mackenzie
- Try to get out of the house more often and do things with her
- Try to cook one new recipe a week
Goals for 2012:
- make the President's List during all three semesters
- finish a half marathon
That pretty much sums it up for me
the wedding | the blog
-Run a 10K and half-marathon
-have at least one date night a month (aiming for 2)
-cook one new meal each week
-continue to run/workout and eat healthier
- spend more time outdoors, enjoying this wonderful place we live while we are still here
- increase my knowledge at work... I don't really know how to explain that one. I am obviously still new to banking and I want to actively pursue educating myself more rather than just "learning as I go."
- lose weight, exercise more, etc
- spend more quality time with David
- make more friends
Pay off credit cards
Build up our e-fund
Get back into the working out routine/eat healthier
re-finish the deck, lay tile in the bathrooms and kitchen and hardwood in the living room/dining room/hallway.
Pay off R's car, replace starter (before it goes out for good)
Read 20 books
Have at least 1 date night per month with R.
Haha, in teaching, we have to write out objectives/goals for our students and sooo much training goes in so the first thing that came to my mind is teaching terminology... make your goals "measureable" Crystal, lol... I've been brain washed.
Resolutions/Goals
1. Attend church regularly, read my Bible at least five days per week and get involved in a weekly Bible Study.
2. Be at least a size 8 by the end of the year.
3. Work out on average 3 times per week.
4. Give up or significantly cut back on the diet Soda
Wishes
1. Be in a healthy and somewhat serious relationship with an awesome Christian guy.
2. Get a job nearer to my hometown and move back there or in the surrounding area (I moved to Los Angeles for ex-hubs and have been stuck here professionally... hoping God opens a door so I can live closer to family/friends - about 60 miles east of LA).
3. I wish for my family to heal from the hurts of the past two years and improve emotionally.
Mine are:
1. Lose weight. I'm already lighter than I've been in a VERY long time and I like the way it feels. I want to continue to lose another 30 lbs.
2. Be a wonderful Mom. I know it takes practice and I'm excited to see what the next year holds for Lucas and I.
3. Be a wonderful Wife. I need to remember that Edgar is still a major part of my life. It's easy to get caught up in the baby and not give him the love he needs too. I hope we can fit in date nights at least once a month.
I was going to say travel as a family but we've already accomplished that by going to New Orleans this weekend. It was awesome and Lucas was great.
My goals for the year include:
- get to bed at a decent time every night so I can get enough sleep
- run a half-marathon
- finish New Rules of Lifting for Abs
- read 50 books
- be in a much better place marriage-wise
- travel
- take another cake decorating class
First and MOST IMPORTANTLY
Get pregnant and have a healthy baby!
Other than that:
-Be a kick assss MOH
-Have a great vacation with J
-Spend more time with my loved ones-especially J!
-Get our last 2 rooms carpeted and put new carpet on our porch
Have a healthy remaining pregnancy.
Figure out this whole parenting thing with DH the best we can.
Find & buy a great house - then pack/move with as little stress as possible (with a newborn...awesome).
Try not to freak out with all of the major changes happening at once this summer.
Find a job in our new city?? ehhh, if I have to SAH with the LO for the first few month...I think I'll survive ;-)
Lose the baby weight asap and then get back down to pre-teaching weight.
Do better at planning our weekly menu. We do it in waves..we need to do it more often.
Do better with keeping our house tidy and not let mess build up to the point I get overwhelmed.
- lose weight (so original, I know!). Ideally, I'd like to lose 30 lbs, but I'd be happy with 15-20. Of course, we're (tentatively) planning on TTC starting in July, so who knows what will happen.
- incorporate more veggies into our dinners.
- be better about bringing my camera places and actually taking pictures.
- continue building up our efund so that we're closer to where we want to be before starting our family.
