If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use?
I use whatever I have coupons for. I found that the Huggies 1-2s were better for not leaking than the pampers, but the pampers are better in the bigger sizes. The only problem I have with the pampers now are the tags, they're harder to get undone, and when you have a squirmy baby that won't lay still without a fight, it can be a huge PITA.
That being said, don't waste your money on the slip ons, they're way more of a hindrance than a help. (they are nice for travelling though when you don't have a change table to use, when baby can stand up)
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent?
My MIL has an activity table at her house that has always managed to keep him occupied longer than anything at our house... he finally got one for Christmas, but he's not nearly as interested in it as I thought. The next baby will probably use it more
For breastfeeding, my 'hooter hider' is one of the best purchases I've made. I'm too modest to nurse with everything hanging out for people to see, but it allows me to nurse him without having to hoard myself away in some room.
My sling is the other must have that i'm not sure how I would have lived without. With Wyatt being small, he still fits in it. He was never a big fan of the stroller, so I was able to pack him around without getting tired or my back getting sore. There are about 5 or 6 days out shopping I can remember that he was in it all day and I didn't even notice.
Also... and I have no idea what to call it, we called it a fruit bag... they are those little soother looking things with a mesh bag on the front of it that you can stick fruit in so they can get the juice but you don't have to worry about choking? We had 3 of them, and they saved our asses a few times over the summer when we didn't have anything to cut the fruit up with except our fingers. Wyatt had no teeth until November, so they were great for peace of mind and helped him cool off in the summer. Here is a picture:
f you use disposable diapers what kind do you use? We use Huggies Naturals or Huggies little movers when we use sposies for day. Huggies overnights at night once he was bigger.
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? he took a bottle for like a month but after trying 10 different kinds the only one he took was the Avent ones
What type of formula do you use? didn't
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? aden and anais swaddle blankets from target. we couldn't of survived without them.
If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use? We use Pampers Cruisers at night and cloth during the day.
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? We didn't formula feed, but we used Dr. Brown's bottles at first and I got sick of them really fast because there are so many parts. I can't remember what we used after those.
What type of formula do you use? n/a
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? I like those disposable changing pad things, LOVE the nose frida, a good bottle brush is a must, a wrap of some kind (ex. moby), boppy, and most of all patience!
If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use? We have always used Pampers Baby Dry. Tried the Swaddlers and Cruisers and hated them.
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? Started with Advent, then switched to Doc Browns to help with Maggie's reflux and gas issues. The parts are a pain, but it made such a difference.
What type of formula do you use? We used Alimentum b/c of her reflux
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? I would have gone crazy without a mirror in the backseat of our car so I could see her when she was rear facing. Gave me comfort that everything was ok. I can't remember many other must haves when she was a newborn. I can give you a few at her current age though.
We use Pampers Swaddlers for Daytime, and Pampers Baby Dry for overnight (I too love that blue line!)
We use the cheapo bottles from Walmart - they cost 97 cents a piece and they are the closest things to hospital nipples that I've been able to find. She wouldn't drink out of anything else. Dang NICUs.
We use Enfamil. We started with Preemie, then went to Newborn and are now on Infant.

What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? BF and pump, but we use Dr. Brown's. The parts don't bother me -- I just throw everything in the dishwasher basket.
What type of formula do you use? n/a
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? I agree with Krissy on the mirror for the car.
These socks (from Carter's sold at Kohl's come in different colors) are the only socks I've found that do not fall off/she has trouble pulling off.
ETA: This tub is the best thing ever once she started sitting. It even has a little "hot" signal on the bottom in case the water is too hot. I didn't register for it, but am so thankful that I received it!

What are you looking at?
I second this tub! I buy this and the nose frida for all new parents! If you push the beak it quacks!!
If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use?
I use Pampers swaddlers-I order them off amazon so I get a really good deal.
We tried huggies but for boys I think they suck. I've heard the same about pampers for girls.
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use?
We use doctor browns bottles. They were really nice too because they fit in with Medela pump as well so I could just pump straight into them. But we also used Medela bottles.
What type of formula do you use?
I don't quite remember, but it's the purple can from Target (I think it compares to Enfamil or something, I'll check later.) My doctor said that it-and other's like Parent Choice from Wal-mart, are literally made by the same company and you shouldn't go out of your way to buy the expensive stuff...
I loved the 4moms freshwater tub. It's awesome. We don't have another tub for right now (and probably won't get one), he just baths either with me or DH.
This is a must if you plan on taking your baby in the pool:
Nose Frieda is awesome.I saw this picture and was like "that's not KR"! I was confused for a second!
If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use? We use Pampers Swaddlers. I feel like they give pretty good coverage for a baby that poops A LOT!
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? We use the medela bottles.
What type of formula do you use? N/a
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? I love our moby and the swing. Just about anything else I could take or leave at this point. Alex is obsessed with buying high contrast toys.
Edit: I completely forgot to mention our glider. I love that thing!

If you use disposable diapers what kind do you use? I prefer Huggies. I used Pampers in the past but I always thought they had a weird sent to them when they were wet.
What bottles (if you formula feed) do you use? I BF for 9 months but pumped while a work and used the Medela bottles that came with my bump.
What type of formula do you use? When we switched to formula we used the regular Similac in the blue container.
What are your "must haves" do you recommend a new parent? For us, it was a good swing, a good breast pump and milk storage bags, the long nightgowns for bedtime (so much easier to change a diaper at 3am when you don't have to snap or zip!), an activity mat, LOTS of onesies, fleece sleep sacks for when they get a little bigger (Kyle didn't really love to be swattled) and our video monitor.
