  I was all ready to commiserate about taxes, lol. 

  H and I were in different states when he was recruiting and I was in college. We skyped and played dominoes on skype, which sounds super nerdy, but was fun. We also made certain to see each other as much as we could afford. 

  I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.

  I currently am!  My H has been gone for almost 7 months and has another 3ish to go.  I am in Nevada and he is in Georgia for BOLC (the first 2.5 months he was in Washington working at LDAC).  We talk on the phone a lot, text, play Words with Friends, just little things to feel connected.  I also feel very blessed that his training is mainly M-F and we are in a financial situation where we can see each other one a month, so that helps a lot.  It has not been easy, but we make the best of it, we are both really busy with work so that helps, and I am counting down the days until we are together again and get to move to Germany!
