Austin Grill in the Annapolis Mall Closed
Re: Austin Grill in the Annapolis Mall Closed
I am honestly not surprised. The few times I went there, it was awful.
On a side note, I was also not surprised to see the cupcake bakery on Main St. closed.

I wasn't surprised when DH and I walked by it last Monday and saw the sign. We went there once and it was horrible. They used to have a Baltimore location and I loved it when I lived in Canton.
I hope something good goes in its place.
We went to Austin Grill more than a few times- sometimes it was good, but a few times it was not good. More importantly it always seemed to be at least half empty.
They did have a decent kids' night w/ live music- also a friend of mine was planning on having her son's b-day party there (and have the mall train stop and give everyone a ride, which I thought was a brilliant idea!) I guess she will have to find another place. CPK is probably too busy for something like that and a lot of the restaurants at the mall don't open into the mall, like Punk's.
Too bad.I have a certain fondness for that place.
When I was being induced, I wasn't allowed any solid food - only broth and clear liquids because I was on a pitocin drip. I maxed out and my midwife took me off the IV and encouraged me to eat some real food. That corn chowder and chips and salsa was the BEST FOOD EVER after having not eaten anything solid for 24 hours.

Figures, we had a $50 gift card there. The last time I went there it sucked and it was really overpriced.

wow- we went there for lunch on Christmas Day and I had no idea.
That restaurant always seemed too large for the location- it was huge and always more than half empty.
They had brilliant happy hour specials- like $2 for a really good cheeseburger w/ fries, $3 fish tacos, etc. We could go and have a decent dinner w/ 2 drinks each for like $40 w/ the kids. The happy hour deals were really the only reason I didn't hate the place, as I don't think a seafood megachain restaurant belongs in Annapolis.
I hope that Punk's doesn't close!
I really hope not too! I love that place. I would think since they just added the bar that they're doing okay.
Are you sure? I was just there two weeks for my company Holiday Party.
I thought the same thing since we had lunch there on 12/25, but if you look on their website it's no longer listed.
