Happy Monday

How was everyone's weekend?  Anyone do anything exciting?  Anything good going on this week?

Re: Happy Monday

  • HAHAHAHA wow we posted at the EXACT same time!  I'll try to delete mine
  • We had a good weekend, though it went by way too fast! Saturday morning DH and I both worked. Then that afternoon/evening hubby worked on replacing the thermostat on his car, while I worked on putting Christmas decor away. Sunday we had nice weather so we took our Christmas lights down and put the tree away. I'm so tired and glad to have today off.

  • My weekend was very productive, but a little too short.

Friday night I ran some errands and grabbed Taco Bell for us for dinner.

Saturday I did TONS of laundry (still not done).  When DH got back from work, we took down our tree and put all the Christmas stuff away again.  Then my BFF met us for dinner.

Sunday we went to church then out for breakfast.  On the way home, we stopped at Best Buy for an external hard drive and replaced one of our stolen Wii games.  In the afternoon, we went to the last Christmas part of the season.  When we got home, DH had to go into work for a few hours and I did some more laundry and worked on putting things back out after the Christmas stuff was put away.

  • We had a very productive weekend as well, but it was too short. Thank goodness I have a 4 day weekend coming up this weekend.

Saturday morning we ran errands all over town. Saturday afternoon and Sunday we started our deep clean on the house in preparations for the baby and guests staying with us. We donated some stuff to Goodwill, cleaned the laundry room, cleaned and reorganized the kitchen and the dining room.  We still have a long way to go, but I feel much better just knowing that a lot got done. It felt like we never stopped moving this weekend.

We tried to go out for gelato at our favorite shop Saturday afternoon, but found out they are closed for vacation until the 17th. I was really bummed because I love their gelato and we have some living social coupons we need to use, but I guess that's what happens with family owned businesses.

  • This weekend went by to fast.

All weekend was birthday planning for my 2 year old baby niece. Still not done but at least we have a perfect vision.

A new Bru's Room open by us and had dinner with my sister, her husband, my baby neice and my hubby. That place rock's to watch the Super Bowl Game. Can't wait for that.

Sunday had breakfast with DH's Dad and younest brother. We are characters when the 4 of us get together... I love this side of my husband family. I get along with them so well and it's drama free place.

    Have a wonderful day ladies...

  • I did pretty much nothing, and it was amazing. Jeff went to hang out with his uncle for a bit Friday night, so I was catching up on my DVR in bed by 6 pm. It was fabulous!

Saturday I made Jeff biscuits and gravy, then I went and worked out in the afternoon. I did the treadmill for 65 minutes! I was so proud of myself! Of course just walking the whole time, but made it all the way up to 9% incline (upped the incline 1% every 10 minutes starting at 4%). But I was SO sore that night!!! We went to bed about 10 pm...after the sadness of the Lions' game...

Sunday I cleaned the kitchen, then seriously watched a 12 hour marathon of Dance Moms. It is SO bad, but SO good! Haha!  I got most of the decorations done and in totes. I just have two levels of the tree left, then we can put that all away tonight!

    Have a good week, ladies!

  • Mine was okay... just ran errands on Saturday, finally got my car back from the auto body shop and it looks brand new - yay!  On Sunday we went to a shiva for my friend's grandfather who passed away.  The rest of the weekend was all about watching football and doing stuff around the house, since it looks like the next few weekends will be busy.

  • Mine was so-so.  Saturday we ran some errands and took down Christmas decorations.  Sunday we went to church and then took our foster dog to his new home....I bawled....

I'm hoping for a better week than last!

  • My weekend was good, my SIL came for a visit and DH had to work so I had to entertain all weekend. To be honest all I really wanted to do was sit on the couch and do nothing ALL weekend. We didn't do anything exciting mostly watched football and went shopping. We had fun.

This week is pretty much just work.  Hopefully DH will be working a few less hours so I can see him more!

My little brother is graduating from college on Friday so I took off so I can go to that.  So excited for him!

  • Not much to report, which is good!  Saturday is my Milo Day (DH has to work a long day so it's just me and Milo hanging out).  And we... slept... a lot!  He took two short naps in the morning and then I napped with him in the afternoon for almost 3 hours... bliss!   Watched a few minutes of the Saints/Lions game.  And then I ordered Chinese food and had it delivered.  The down side is that I was too exhausted to take advantage of the beautiful day outside - felt bad about that but I needed some rest after running all over creation over the holidays.

On Sunday we had another quiet day, and I caught another nap with M.  Tried to catch some football but failed.

Busy week at work ahead; will be glad for the long weekend and short work week to follow.

  • Friday night I went to yoga, which I haven't done in a while, I needed it!

Saturday morning we woke up early because the repairmen came to install our new boiler.  The house was icy cold (even though it was a mild day, go figure) so I stayed under the covers and read a little bit.  It was nice to relax, but I was bummed that we were trapped in the house on such a nice day.  Once they left, we went out to a GREAT Cuban restaurant and saw the movie "The Descendants" (depressing, didn't really love it)

Sunday, I spent the entire day cleaning and doing laundry and I made a beef stew for some comfort.  I needed just ONE extra day this weekend!!!

  • My weekend was good! On Friday night DH and I went over to my parents to visit and check out my mom's new car (2012 Ford Edge), which is fabulous and I am super jealous! Saturday I went dress shopping with a friend from work. She is getting married next month...we went to David's and ended up finding a super cute bridesmaid dress off the rack for her....she looks fab in it and ended up getting it in a deep red color! Everyone will be shocked when she walks down the aisle in it, I'm sure! DH and I went for dinner afterwards. Sunday was my lazy day...cleaned up and went grocery shopping.

This week doesn't have much exciting in store...which is fine with me!

My hair dress is Maddie & Mackenzie's aunt (Melissa is her sister)! At some of the competitions, you can see her in the background cheering them on. She actually went out to Pittsburgh over the weekend b/c they wanted her to be on the series as well. But according to her Facebook posts, she decided not to b/c reality tv isn't all it's cracked up to be. I can't wait to get more details from her next time I go!

  • DH worked all weekend, so I took down all of the Christmas decorations that I could do by myself. (The tree is still up and will be coming down today, but I took all of the ornaments down.) I cleaned up a bit, and meal planned for this next week...hopefully I can stick to it and save some money!

  • Helped my mom a bit (getting her dinner, etc. so she wouldn't have to climb the stairs all weekend) Friday night and Saturday afternoon.  Errands then our niece's 21st birthday party.  Good time, but DH and I are SO partied out after the holidays we'd have rather stayed in and watched the Lions game in bum clothes.  Sunday we picked up Amanda for breakfast & she hung out with us for a while then took dinner over to my mom and watched the Steelers lose to Tebow...
