Happy Monday!

Oy I'm tired today!  The moon was very full and incredibly bright here last night, it was neat to see at 4:30 am when I got up to pee.

The glass guy ended up coming to our place on Saturday instead of Friday night as he forgot something he needed, but whatever.  He ended up having to go back to his shop to adjust the size of the door piece, but OMG it looks so nice.  The tape comes off today and it's all done!  Now to finish the paint touch-ups.

We didn't do too much else this weekend.  We played a new board game Derek got for Christmas on Friday night, he whooped my butt but it was fun.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Good morning! Weekend was okay--Josh left for CA on Saturday afternoon, and I got all bummed about it for some reason. I forced myself out the door to buy new running shoes, though, and do a bit of browsing at LOFT. That cheered me up. Sunday was quiet--did some cleaning, worked on some book reviews and did my first run of the year now that I feel better. I also sat down and vegged out to season 2 of Pushing Daisies.

Busy day at work, probably, but tonight I'm heading to the Folger Shakespeare Library to see Allegra Goodman give a reading! I brought along two of her novels for the signing. It's too bad Josh can't go as he's also a fan, but we've gotten tickets to a reading in February. We're also flirting with the idea of attending the PEN/Faulkner gala. :D I love literary D.C.

  • My weekend was just okay.  I'm glad it's Monday!

I had to work all weekend and it was extremely busy and we had overtime both days.  Saturday was just so busy and we found another place where Winston was marking and MIL has been in the hospital since Friday night.  I'm just feeling so stressed out and wanted to break down and cry.  Yesterday was still busy at work but I was feeling a bit more like myself.

Since I worked the weekend I'm off today and plan on just putting away some laundry, going for a run and starting my registry.  I need to talk to DH about his plans for visiting MIL after work.  Winston is sleeping on the armrest of the coach and has been for the past hour.  He's been extremely needy the past several days.  I wake up in the morning and he wants to be picked up and held.  Before bed, he wants to be picked up and held.  We're trying to indulge him at least right now if it will help stop his problems.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  • Morning ladies.

Raynes - I saw your pic on FB. It looks amazing!

My weekend was pretty good.  Friday night I dealt with Zach until 11 p.m. I think he is getting his rear 2 year molars. UGH, was not a fun evening.

Saturday we took the boys for much needed haircuts, then I dropped all the boys off at home and then went grocery shopping.  I then proceeded to nap on the couch with Zach. It was wonderful. (It doesn't happen often as I'm usually doing other things).

Yesterday I brought Christitan to the docs and he is now on meds. One kid finishes and the other starts. Oh well hopefully there will be relief in our house soon. Then it was lots of cleaning and laundry.

Have a great day everyone, I have a busy one here.

  • Hello all.  We had a good weekend - took care of a bunch of chores yesterday which I've been procrastinating about.  Finally filed my UK taxes (woohoo!), just in time to start thinking about US taxes (boo).  We also mapped out a lot of our travel plans for the next six months, which is always fun!  I'm really excited about some of the new places we'll be going.

I also made it back to the gym, after being kept away by a nagging cold last week.  I just did some laps in the pool, which was somewhat pathetic, but I felt good about making the attempt.

Not much going on today.  Busy day at work, and then maybe some more travel plans tonight!

  • Good Monday morning!

We didn't do a whole lot this weekend but I still feel like it was busy. Saturday, we mostly stayed home except that I ran out to do a few errands. I started feeding Darian sweet potatoes and he LOVED it, there was hardly any on his bib. I'm so glad he's excited about food.

Yesterday, we went to mass with our friend (Darian's godmother) and had brunch after. I also got started on that scarf I wanted to knit... well, I started a tester with some yarn I already had. I don't love how it's turning out so far so I think I'll use baby yarn instead. I'm going to try to visit a yarn store today  to try to find something.

  • Good morning! Had a nice weekend.  H and I had a little dinner party at a Moroccan restaurant for our joint birthdays (mine was Thursday, his is today) which was fun.  A few of us went down to the lounge for hookah afterward, which I love, but I still can kind of smell smoke on my new silk dress from Anthro :-(  Oh well, nothing the dry cleaner can't take care of.

Besides that, we worked out on Saturday and Sunday, and did a lot of packing (did I mention to you guys that we're moving in 3 weeks?  To a new, bigger apt in a different neighborhood - I'm excited!)

H is leaving in a few hours for Connecticut to celebrate his birthday with friends overnight, at the UConn bball game and one of the casinos.  Tonight I will go to yoga and keep packing.

  • Good morning, ladies.

Worst night of sleep in my entire life.  I cannot wait to get home - I'm going to bed at 7:30.

  • Good morning! I had a good weekend. Saturday I spent the entire day (11am - 2am!) with a friend of mine. We first went to a college b-ball game. Then we went back to her place. We watched 3 episodes of Top Chef and are now caught up again. We drank wine and ate lasagna. We may have had to pause the show every 5 minutes or so to tell a story. Obviously we desperately needed to catch up after the holidays.

Yesterday I had a somewhat lazy day. I watched football (Go Broncos!) and cleaned the house. I finally got all of my Christmas decorations back in boxes. Now they just need to be taken back up to the attic. I also went to bed early last night because I feel like I'm on the verge of catching a cold. I feel a little more rested today which is nice.

  • Good morning!

Saturday the boys and I had breakfast with my grandmother and went and got all of Jordan's bday stuff and valentine stuff. I got a few things for Preston from babies r us on sale and hit up a consigment shop for a couple of things for Jordan.

Sunday was a lazy day. DH worked all weekend so the boys and I laid around and played and watched football.

Today is a super busy day at work. I didn't do much last week and I am paying for it today.

  • Good morning!  We had a busy weekend.

My MIL came over on Saturday morning to visit so that pushed all our errand running back.  We still made it to the mall for the L.L. Bean to swap Jim's coat (he still doesn't like it and will probably take coat #2 back also), Lush to replace the ruined bath bombs and Hallmark to see what I could get on sale.  I got one ornament and this nativity (I collect them) for $22.00 total.

Then we went to the warehouse store to restock and Jim bought me an exercise bike!  I am so excited to have something to do at home because once I get home in the evening it's such a hassle to go back out to the gym.

    image

Sunday was church, returning extra paint supplies at Home Depot, groceries and then we went out to eat at a restaurant that was donating to the Avon 3-Day team that some of Jim's high school friends are on.

  • good morning.

This weekend was blah. I worked Saturday which wasn't very exciting and put me in a funk all day.

Yesterday was relaxing but the weather was crappy. I went out for a run and it started pouring. It didn't look like rain when I set out. I'm also exhausted I could not sleep last night and was up at 3. Sheeseh this day is going to be long.

  • Morning everyone.  I'm in a significantly better mood than I was last week.  Late Friday, the vet was able to put a wound vac on Casey's wound, which basically suctions out the remainder of the infection.  Since then, he's made serious improvement--no more fever, blood cell count back to normal, kidney levels all within normal range.  He's been chowing down at meal time, sits up, and has even walked a few laps around the hospital.  The vet expects the wound vac to come off later today or tomorrow, and then he can come home 12 hours later.  B and I can't be more thrilled.

The rest of the weekend was pretty good.  I worked a lot, but did fit in watching all of Downton Abbey, which is so good.  I can't wait for Season 2.  I also went to a bridal shower and caught up with a friend yesterday.  Today is going to be a serious catch up day at the office.

Hope everyone has a good one!

  • Good morning! How bout them Broncos!! :)

My weekend was really good. On Saturday we went and bought new mattresses, I can't wait for them to get here on Tuesday! As we were leaving the store J's dad called and asked us to go to dinner with them because they have something they want to tell us. A few hours later his dad called us back and postponed dinner until later this week because it was snowing really hard. I'm dying to know what they're wanting to tell us.

Sunday I got the house cleaned up and made a bunch of snack food and our friends came over for the Bronco's game. After the big win in OT we partied pretty hard......which I'm paying for this morning. :(

  • Morning!  Add me to the list of people who didn't sleep well last night.  But the weekend was good.  I did some cooking (soup, mac and cheese) and did the grocery shopping and laundry.  I need to put laundry away today, but other than that, I got the chores done!

Today I took a personal day because I had my first appt with my new midwife practice.  It was great.  I really like the practice even though the hospital is huge.  The midwife even tried to listen for the heart beat, even though it was early, and we were able to hear it, which was so cool!

Now I have the rest of the day to relax.  I'll probably nap and try to get in a short workout since I was cleared for it today--just walk/light jog, no running, but it is still something.

That's great!  I'm so glad the appointment went well and you like the new practice.

  • Good morning ladies. We had a really nice weekend capped off with an awesome win by the Broncos last night. Today is work and then after work is up in the air. I have my WW meeting but I also need to go grocery shopping and to pick up a few things at Target. Since I have been working later than usual, I won't be able to do all of that plus make dinner so I have to prioritize. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

  • We've been having some really good weather here, so we took Jackson to the park near us and on the swings. He loved it. Little daredevil. I also brought him down the slide, but us big kids don't really fit so much in those anymore. I was a little annoyed that it was the one hour all day the sun wasn't out, but we had to time our outing in between naps. I also got in some good snuggle time later in the day.

Saturday night DH and I finally had a date night. It's been quite a few months since we've gone out just the two of us. I'm still a little nervous, though, that we have nothing in common to talk about. We can talk about work and family and such, but it usually ends up in some giant argument because we just don't understand each other's lives. I'm hoping there's enough other things to our marriage that will keep us together, but still a bit nervewracking. Sorry. Random downer thought for the day.

Sunday was lounging and catching up on Dexter since Showtime did a freebie for the weekend. Yay! And now I'm stuck back at work. boooo

  • I am glad Casey is doing better.  The Bronco game was amazing, now let's see what Saturday brings us.m

Friday C and I went to dinner with his family and watched some Netflix.

Saturday C had to work so I got my hair trimmed and worked on the house some more, we are so close to getting all unpacked and things put away.  C and I spent some quality time together on Saturday night watching movies, drinking, and playing video games.

Sunday  we had breakfast at his parents house and then he watched football over there while I took a nap and then took the dogs out to fetch.  We watched the Broncos game and talked with parents.

I started classes again this semester, it is going to kick my butt!!
